★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our first bad experience since we arrived in Greece. Do not go, much too expensive for what you eat. Avoid it, much better restaurants in Chora, don’t loose you money there.

But after finally going here for breakfast and dinner I don’t think those reviews show a good picture. Friendliest service in the restaurant at the port!! The prices are also good - it’s only expensive for certain high quality seafood meals.

Very good starters:
Beans, cheese pie amazing with honey - piropta , wine leaves, tzatziki, eggplant, salads
From mains:
mussels very good
Average:
Moussaka, fried fresh squid (no spices, very gentle taste not too gummy but not soft either), stuffed squid also not worth ordering.
Very good attentive service.
Local place, family business.

But since there are not many restaurants and after the receptionist of our Hotel recomended it to us… we decided to go.
It was simply great. Very nice greek food.
The service was also great. Please ignore the bad reviews, they must be from ungrateful primadonas.
Of course, if you order seafood or fish you will pay accordingly. But you can also have a normal lunch at a very reasonable price. Specially if you compare it with Santorini ( probably your prior stay before Folegandros)
Conclusion: give it a try, it is a nice place in a wonderful spot of the world.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a lovely meal here served by the friendly and funny woman running things. There is beautiful view of the harbour and bay, which along with the relaxed atmosphere makes it a great place to spend some time with a coffee and book.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here towards the end of the season, so there weren't many options. The lady was very friendly and accomodating though, and gave us some of the dish she was making as a special request. We also ordered fava bean salad and cheese-stuffed peppers, which were delicious!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We decided to stop here with the aim of having a dinner by the sea at a traditional Greek tavern. It turned out to be the worst experience in 3 years of Greek holidays. The fish we ate wasn't fresh at all (we saw boxes of frozen fish coming from Spain), the dishes are small (a huge difference compared to all other Greek taverns we tried), Greek olives were in vinegar as well as the beetroots and the final price was extremely high, higher than any other dinner we had in three years of Greece. Stay away and go to chora where the day before we paid half of the money.
