Kalyves Beach Hotel - Kalyves Apokoronou

Sister hotel to kania resort hotel in Greece chania, right on a lovely beach. Lovely little hotel, food is amazing. Very friendly hotel staff ??

From start to finish we had an amazing stay. We arrived on the 3rd in the AM and were to early to check in. Penelope was so lovely and helped us throughout, they held our bags and checked us in as soon as the room was ready. (this was a life saver as we were exhaused) so was so amazing to be greeted by such lovely helpful staff and manager. We enjoyed the evening entertainment nearly every night. morning breakfast was very nice, (sorry we did not have lunch as we were out most afternoons) but i can confirm as we were always late their is a great Slouvaki shop behind which is a MUST TRY. They have two great pools as well as 2 private beach fronts (also the best sunbeds on the whole beach side) Very comfortable At the bar we were served by the BEST bartender Mpampis was absolutly incredible. always happy and ready to serve us with a smile. he remembered us and our drinks orders which we loved. he even introduced us to taquila shots with orange and sugar. (ALSO A MUST TRY) in the uk we have taquila and lime with salt but what a game changer. he really went out of his way to make sure we were enjoying out night. Unfortunatly our flight was cancelled to london however we couldnt think of anywhere better to be left. Penelope,Natasha helped us SOOO much. They were the best and most helpful people we have met. They printed our boarding passes. helped us find alternative accommodation as they were fully booked. We travelled the next day just to see if we can rebook for september as we had such a great time. Natasha was on reception and she was soo happy to see us which made us feel so special ) ive never seen such happy staff. it was like visiting family away from home. We've had a wonderful stay here this week, all the reception staff were fantastic, made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble, Kevin greeted us every morning as we arrived for breakfast and chatted to us throughout the day like we've know him all our life, bar staff are a good bunch of lads had a good laugh with them at night, fantastic selection of food thanks to the chefs, and clean towels and room cleaned every day, what can we say only a great place to stay, thank you all for such a good holiday and hope to see all again soon

We had a great stay in Kalyves beach hotel. Good place for relaxing and base to make trips around the island. The food is tasty and the staff was super friendly. Especially the ladies at the reception Natasa and Penelope helped us with all our questions.

This was our third trip to Kalyves Beach Hotel during the past six years. Covid-19 has played its part in creating difficulties but on balance the hotel has survived it well since our previous visits. Since our last time here the hotel has had a nice refurbishment that stands it in good stead. In past reviews I've referred to it as "boutique" insofar as it is relatively compact with facilities limited but with sufficient amenities for the needs of most, unless your seeking 5 star luxury. My wife and I like it because it is honest and offers enough for our needs without being pretentious in any way. The rooms are comfortable, the food and price inclusive packages are not unreasonable and the service is adequate enough. It is a place for couples to stay really who don’t expect too lunch excitement. A place to relax on a good beach or in one of two quite small pool areas. It us located in the nice local village of Kalyves which provides a lovely bay with some decent tavernas and shops for browsing. We'll be back there again in the autumn.

The staff were all very welcoming and friendly and our room was kept very clean by Katarina. This was the first time we had used an All- Inclusive package and it was very good. The food and drinks were great - very varied and great quality. The beach was lovely and sandy and the water crystal clear. The village had some great shops for gifts so all in all we had everything we needed for a lovely relaxing week.

Lovely Sea Views, Good Food and Cocktails. Lovely People. Assistant Manager very helpful. Outside and inside pools. Reception people helpful too. Beach Clean. Rooms cleaned every day with fresh towels. Good Entertainment Lovely hot weather Boat Cruises to other Bays.

We spent a wonderful week here with our boys (1 and 3). They are so lovely and willing to tailor to all our needs We were provided 2 cots in the room for the boys. Kalyves Beach Hotel is smaller than their sister hotel Kiani Beach but we appreciated the calmer atmosphere! They have an indoor pool which we loved because it was a bit windy when we first got there. The staff are all so attentive and clearly love what they do! The beach is right there and the sand is very lovely. The surrounding area is also makes a lovely walk!
