I have met Karamalis Associates Yacht Surveyors in 2020 while I was looking for a certified surveyor in Greece to do a survey on a sailing yacht that I was planning to purchase. When I contacted with them, I came across George Karamalis, Independent Marine Surveyor of Karamalis and Associates. Despite the Covid 19 Pandemic, we have managed to schedule a survey in Corfu in Greece to survey 12 meter sailing yacht. George is very professional, experienced and easy going professional that we started the survey early morning at 7AM with the hull inspection on hard. He has all the equipment and tools to make sure that the boat is inspected from all required hull inspection tests such as osmosis checking, structural/keel/rudder/propulsion system etc. After hull inspection, the vessel was launched by the marina that will allow us to proceed with the sea trial where he has checked engine performance, sailing performance and checking other systems such as bilge system/anchorage etc. After sea trials, we did return to the marina to complete to all outstanding checks such as deck equipment status/interior/plumbing/electrical etc. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank George that after a long day he did finish the survey and give me the green light where we found the vessel in good condition after his detail examination/survey. He also provided a very professional survey report that helped me to pass it on to the seller to complete (repair or replace) the findings as minor items but they were important prior to finalize the contract between my self and the seller. I am happy to recommend George to any potential sailor who is willing to purchase a yacht. any broker or insurance companies. I would like to highlight that it is extremely important to carry out a survey prior purchasing a vessel and it is very important to work with a certified, professional surveyors such as George from Karamalis and Associates.

George is really professional and responsive. Once we went through the survey process I had no additional questions to ask and I trusted I made a good decision in both choosing the surveyor and the boat.
