Κύριος και πρωταρχικός στόχος του Κέντρου είναι η ανεξαρτησία των ατόμων με αναπηρία όρασης και η πλήρης ένταξή τους στο κοινωνικό σύνολο.
Ιδιαίτερη βαρύτητα δίνεται στην εκπαίδευση και στήριξη των μαθητών. Προωθείται η πνευματική, ηθική, κοινωνική και πολιτιστική τους καλλιέργεια σε ένα περιβάλλον σεβασμού προς το άτομο. Με την αμοιβαία συνεργασία, την εξειδικευμένη εκπαίδευση και την πρόσβαση στις νέες Τεχνολογίες.
Center for the Training and Rehabilitation of the Blind (KEAT) is a Legal Entity under Public Law (NPDD), operates in Athens as a Central Service and in Thessaloniki as a Regional Directorate-Branch and covers the needs of young and adult visually impaired people.
The main and primary goal of the Center is the independence of people with visual impairments and their full integration into society.
Particular emphasis is placed on educating and supporting students. Their spiritual, moral, social and cultural cultivation is promoted in an environment of respect for the individual. With mutual cooperation, specialized training and access to new technologies.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Απαράδεκτο 30 Ιουνίου 2021 με 40 βαθμούς να μην κλιματίζεται ο χώρος.. θα πρέπει το κράτος να μεριμνήσει ώστε οι συνθήκες να είναι πιο ανθρώπινες σε τέτοιους χώρους.
Unacceptable June 30, 2021 with 40 degrees not to air condition the space .. the state should make sure that the conditions are more humane in such spaces.
