Mi sono rivolto a Kimolos Moto per il noleggio di uno scooter 50cc la scorsa estate. La comunicazione con miss Flora è stata eccellente, mi sono state fornite tutte le informazioni per prendere con serenità la mia decisione. Tariffe buone, anche se leggermente più alte rispetto alla media delle isole vicine. In conclusione, mi sono trovato abbastanza bene: il mezzo era tutto sommato adeguato a percorrere le non troppo lunghe strade di Kimolos. Tuttavia, sono costretto a giudicare l'esperienza nel complesso sufficiente a causa delle non proprio buone condizioni del mezzo, che sicuramente non sarebbe stato adatto a chi non possiede una buona esperienza di guida. Nota: a seguito della risposta del titolare dell'attività tengo a precisare che non ho alcun rapporto con il soggetto da questi menzionato, e che quindi si riferisce a tutt'altra esperienza. Il modello consegnatomi, di colore nero e il cui produttore non ricordo (mi pare inizi con la M), constato che fortunatamente non è più presente in catalogo. Faccio quindi i miei complimenti per aver eseguito un rinnovamento del parco moto, risolvendo i problemi che sono a me capitati, senza alcun dubbio. Nota 2: sono costretto a ribattere nuovamente, in seguito all'aggiornamento della risposta del titolare dell'attività. Lasciando perdere le questioni relative alle condizioni stradali di Kimolos, non accetto che venga ribadito che gli scooter noleggiati sono tutti nuovi. Questo non è vero, almeno per quanto mi è capitato l'anno scorso. Nessun Sym Crox. La foto che ho recuperato attesta un diverso modello, sicuramente non recente!

Senza ombra di dubbio la migliore società dell`isola per quanto riguarda il noleggio di scooter. Comunicazione ottima, servizio perfetto con consegna e ritiro gratuito nel luogo dove pernottavamo. Scooter immacolato di soli due anni e ruote nuovissime adatte per affrontare gli sterrati presenti in alcuni tratti di Kimolos. Prezzo onesto! Consiglio davvero di prenotare da Kimolos Moto e non fermarsi ai primi negozi di noleggio al porto che hanno scooter più vecchiotti e con ruote sottili.

Rented a 50 cc moped from this family business. Attentive and prompt in their communication. By the rules so you yankees bring an international license. We had our moped for 5 days and rode two up, ie me and my wife plus a backpack total of ca 140 kg. The moped did just fine braking and cornering with good braking and suspension performance. Real steep uphill was a slow but steady climb, but cannot fault the 50 cc for that. Newer bikes all in good condition. A great way to see the island and you will find parking everywhere. Other vehicles were very courteous and we felt safe while in traffic. Would rent here again.

Excellent service..car in good condition and clean. Friendly owners who patiently explained to us as well as been given handy tips about driving on the island and given a map. No quibbles upon return so would hire from here again.

I booked a fat-bike for 7 days by email with a week of advance and also told the owner, in response to her question, when I would be arriving on the island and taking the bicycle. Well, today I go to their office and I find no-one. I phone them and get told to wait for them for 5 minutes, that turn out to be 20 (in all fairness, after finally having direcly with the owner by mail, I acknowledge I should have been clearer on the timings of my arrival, so this is not really their fault). The bike, which in the photo was new and shining, has rusty brakes and chain and, what's worse, the saddle is so low (and cannot be raised) so that you have to ride with your knees bent up to your mouth. Dangerous for your knees and yor safety on the streets. It is the only bike for rent on the whole island and the owner has not been helpful nor willing to find a solution. The guy phoned her and she closed off the discussion in 30 seconds. Needless to say I did not take the bike. I suggest that, if you want to ride a bike on Kimolos, you bring it from Milos on the ferry, as Kimolos Moto does not have at heart your satisfaction and your safety. Edit in response to the owner's reply: nothing of what I wrote is fake or incorrect. I will just clarify and then leave it at that, people will judge: I asked for a discount just ONCE, did not "keep on insisting", so I do not know what your employee felt inconvenient about (especially after he had agreed with me that the saddle was indeed too low). The saddle is too low for any person of average height, not for "my height" as if I was some sort of giant (I am 175 cm). I only asked for a discount because, seeing that the saddle was so low and the general conditions of the bike, it just did not seem good value for the price we had agreed on: you cant ride on unstable terrains (what a fat bile is for and as are many of Kimolos roads) with your knees in your mouth,as you dont have enough strenght and control, so I would not have been able to use it as I expected. It is my right as a customer to ask for a discount and your right as a owner to refuse it, but the problem did not ensue from the price (which I had already accepted by email). I would have paid even 14 euros (as it is often the case in Italy) if the bike had been as showed in photo and with a saddle that could have been raised to the height of an average human being. The bike was the same bike of the photo you sent me, I did not say the opposite. BUT the conditions were not the same: in the photo it seemed almost new, in reality had rusty (important) components. And the pressure of the tires was also very low, too low even for a fat bike. If you know a customer is coming to collect a booked bike, the least you can do is to have the bike ready. Mh, I guess it's just me, yeah.
