S	Sofia I. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Historic movie theater in Athens (over 90 years old), vintage art deco interior. Very polite and passionate about their work owners. Offers value for money ticket of 3 movies for 10€, with no expiration date. It also features a great rooftop open air cinema in the summer. In winter time it tends to be a bit on the chilly side, so dress appropriately. It would be sad for such historic places to permanently close due to competition from popular modern multiplex cinemas, so try to support them instead.

M	M K on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An oasis in the town. I really enjoyed the place. After the last movie of the night there is the choice to stay up to 2am having a drink and watching the sky. Projection is not so good with medium quality of video .

We found the old man in his office inside, and we bought the 3-movie pass for 10 euro each! The pass is valid for 3 movies, it never expires, just do not lose it. The regular ticket is 6 euro, I think. The cinema is a historical landmark and reminds one of old days, but not too old, because the movie experience was quite up to date. It is a pity that not many people visit, we were the only audience for our movie, and there were two more for the next one. More people should know about this place and visit, before it is gone.

The elderly people running it provide 10 star customer service experience, very entrepreneurial!! Digital projection in retro surroundings. Sour cherry ? drink from Chios island available at the bar. The 10€ for 3 movies “whenever, whatever” deal is absolutely worth it. After the last show, one can enjoy a drink for prices lower than any bar in Athens. Cannot rave enough about this place! // Since 1925 //
A	ArisGR on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice summer cinema. Big screen, nice ambience with a beautiful garden, cosy seats with a table. Good sound system. Despite that it's located in a busy street, it is very quiet and there are no interruptions from outside noise. I'll be definitely going again

The Spanish movie, “ The neighbors upstairs” was screened in the roof top outdoor theater !!! I absolutely LOVE outdoor theaters and this is a real “ find” . It is almost 100 years old and has wonderful marble steps and beautiful plants lining the walls of the outdoor theater. The chairs are arranged by 2s or 3s with a table in front of each with a “ mint plant “ on each table ! There are two gurgling fountains in front of the screen …and a vintage neon sign in Greek with the name of the theater , PALAS, above the screen …...when the feature begins, the water and the lights go dark. After the movie, the delightful owner, Michael, stopped to ask me how I enjoyed the film and he told me that Greece is the only country in Europe which has outdoor theaters showing continuously / daily…….During the summer months. They change movies almost every week !!! I’ll be there EVERY WEEK !!!!
