K	Karitas Mitrogogos on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A sourdough and viennoiserie bakery ... in the Kolonaki area of Athens ... that uses long fermentation methods to make their high quality nutritious products; making them more digestible than conventionally produced breads. ??? They also make some sandwiches around lunchtime ... for take away ... that are always freshly made and very tempting! I love their breads which, by the way, stay fresh for up to 10 days when stored properly and ... their buttery croissants are tops, especially with sugarless berry jams! ?? Their morning syrupy cinnamon buns are perfect for a special treat for those of you with a sweet tooth .. especially when served slightly warm. I've also served them as a dessert, again slightly warm, cut into chunky pieces and topped with vanilla icecream. ? Their foccacia, for my taste is a bit too oily but I'm sure ideal for most Greeks! The service is friendly and quick but as it's a popular place you might have to wait in line for a few minutes! Dogs are welcome and often get an extra hug from staff members ... and if they are thirsty there is always water from them too! ??

In whatever you pick you will find great products, attention to details & process and the love of the bakers. You can buy in the store or order online, this place is a must and I am very happy to find it in Athens

I was expecting a cinnamon roll-like bread, but instead the morning bun was also made of layers just as a croissant. Even after a day it is still so good after a few min in the oven.

Their sweet pastries are also brilliant - tried both the cardamom and morning bun. A strong contender for best bakery in Athens!
M	Michael Mayer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing bakery with great bread and sweet treats! We climbed up the hill on our first day in Athens to this lovely bakery. We arrived in the afternoon so we decided to have a cardamom bun and a morning bun (which is like a cinnamon bun). Both were absolutely delicious. The bakery only has outdoor seating (very few seats). On our last day in Athens we returned just to take some of the delicious bread home with us and it was totally worth it. Insider tip: The chocolate bread is only available on Saturday and Sunday.
