About Studio Kominis
Born in Athens and growing up close to his father, the photographer Kostas Kominis, Nikolas started looking at the world through a camera lens from a very young age. His very first photo was published in the daily newspaper “Ta Nea” when he was just seven years old.
Nikolas started taking photos for the agency back in 1992 and continued doing so while studying photography at the Leica Academy. His early work was mostly fo-cused on sports reportage. Over the years, he has covered some of the most im-portant international sporting events in Greece and abroad, including the Olympic Games held in Athens (2004) and London (2012), and has collaborated with various major Greek and international media outlets.
In recent years, his work has shifted primarily to more creative projects like weddings, interiors, cinema and theater plays.
His first solo exhibition “The aftermath of Victory” took place in 2003. He has also par-ticipated in several group photo exhibitions.

Πήγα να βγάλω φωτογραφία διαβατηρίου, αλλά αντιμετώπιζαν τεχνικό πρόβλημα. Πράγμα απολύτως κατανοητό και μάλιστα προσφέρθηκα να τους βοηθήσω αφού ήταν 2 εξαιρετικοί και ευγενέστατοι κυρία και κύριος (μάλλον γονείς του ανεκδιήγητου παρακάτω).
Περιμένοντας να φτιαχτεί το πρόβλημα, να σημειώσω ο κύριος μου πρότεινε να με πάει με το αυτοκίνητο του σε άλλο φωτογραφείο (επαναλαμβάνω εξαιρετικός κύριος) για να μη καθυστερώ. Εκεί μπαίνει ο Νίκος. Δεν χαιρέτησε καν, πήγε σε ένα 2ο χώρο και κάποια στιγμή φώναξε: " Σταματήστε να χαλάτε χαρτί"...... Βγαίνει έξω και με αυστηρό ύφος λέει στους γονείς του (αν ήταν οι γονείς του): "ΤΕΛΕΙΩΣΕ, όποιος θέλει κάτι να έρθει σε 2 ώρες για φωτογραφία".... και εννοείται πως στον μοναδικό πελάτη που βρισκόταν με την παρουσία του στο κατάστημα ούτε απολογήθηκε, ούτε καν με κοίταξε.
UPDATE : Μετά από κάποιες ώρες έφτιαξαν τον εξοπλισμό τους, και ο πολύ ευγενικός κύριο Κώστας Κομίνης με πήρε τηλέφωνο για να πάρω τις φωτογραφίες. Δεν πήγα, γιατί είχα βρει άλλη λύση. Αλλάζω την αξιολόγηση μου, γιατί δυστυχώς με το 1 αστερι που τους έβαλα το score τους από 4.9 πήγε στο 4.6 κάτι που δεν θέλω. Θα προσπαθήσω να είμαι δίκαιος και να βάλω 5 στον μπαμπα 1 στο γιο. UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR FROM SOME NIKOS (WHO IS PROBABLY THE OWNER)
I went to get a passport photo, but they were having a technical problem. Which is perfectly understandable and I even offered to help them since they were 2 excellent and very kind lady and gentleman (probably parents of the unexplained below).
While waiting for the problem to be fixed, my gentleman suggested that he take me by car to another photo studio (I repeat, excellent gentleman) so that I would not be late. Nikos enters there. He did not even greet, he went to a 2nd place and at some point he shouted: "Stop wasting paper" ...... He goes out and says in a stern manner to his parents (if they were his parents): to come in 2 hours for a photo ".... and it goes without saying that the only customer who was present in the store neither apologized nor even looked at me.
UPDATE: After a few hours they fixed their equipment, and the very kind Mr. Costas Kominis called me to take the photos. I did not go, because I had found another solution. I change my rating, because unfortunately with the 1 star I gave them their score from 4.9 went to 4.6 something I do not want. I will try to be fair and put 5 in dad 1 in son. M.O. 3
