Korfu-Segeln - Kontokali 8

Matthias is a great skipper! I learned a lot and had a ton of fun!

We sailed with Korfu-Segeln for a week this summer with Julian as our skipper, and we had a great time sailing from Corfu to Paxos and Antipaxos. The boat was great, and Julian was great at sailing the boat. :)

Mathias is an excellent experienced skipper. Had a very memorable and exceptional trip! And I’ve learnt a lot!

Simply a sublime week. I had a great experience with the company, that was easy to get in touch with when we needed it during the week and had a lot of good recommendations for what to visit and where to go. Our captain, Julian, was extremely competent and I felt very safe and secure and apart from that he's also a really great guy, that made us all feel like we were one big family. This is definitely not the last time I'm Segeln Korfu.

We had a very nice experience sailing with Korfu-Segeln. We sailed one week with Julian as a captain. He took us to the northern parts of Corfu as well as Calypso Bay and the main land of Greece. As a captain he was very calm all the time. Even though he was our age, we could really tell that he's an experienced sailor who really enjoys sailing. Highly Recommended! Have hired Mathias for my newly bought yacht delivery following the recommendations of one of the more reputable Corfu sailing schools. It has to be mentioned this delivery from Corfu to Marmaris, Turkey has been quite a challenge not only because of CoVID lockdowns and restrictions where you formally couldn't call any ports on your way for this otherwise mostly coastal 550-miles trip, but also due to very complicated formalities Mathias had to organize on my behalf: Support the tonnage survey process, arrange with local agents and port police for a special navigation permit (sailing was otherwise forbidden in Greece on these dates), do all the paperwork, and then another complication along the way in Rhodes where Mathias had to run the formalities of signing out of Greece/EU. Did I mention yacht preparation and provisioning? This was also major part of the task as I wasn't able to enter Greece. So all my trust was given to Mathias. What I eventually got is: - Outstanding care to my boat, he's been treating her not worse than I would myself. - All the extra tasks performed briefly and perfectly. - Delivery itself performed right on time, exactly as scheduled. - A new sailing buddy I can always rely on and happily recommend to anybody looking for a skipper. P.S. To put this review in the right perspective: I'm a sailing instructor myself, and actually run a sailing school - so when I say "highly recommended" it means exactly that and this recommendation is supported by quite some experience and understanding of skippers qualities.
