Koulouris Beach Hotel - KAVOS

Nice place, friendly staff, nice location, food was ok but could improve on some aspects, rooms were basic but luxuries were available at a cost, rooms could do with a once over to fix a few issues (my shower head wasn't secured into the wall and a friend had a dodgy door) but over all a good place to have a get away for a couple days. Wouldn't recommend long stays as local day time amenities are limited.

Bad first - very basic rooms (no TV , kettle , microwave) , I stayed 10 days and had sheets changed once and 1 new towel (2 in room) - all had holes in ! I did think at 50 euros the extra air-conditioning was over priced ! That been said this I very budget accommodation and is ideally placed been a 5 minute walk up beach to get to strip - making it far enough away that you can get a break from the nightclub noise ! The thing that makes this hotel (appartments?) Is the wonderful staff who are always friendly and helpful dispite the majority of British turning into complete a55holes on holiday , great food 24/7 nice bar by pool , + Nadia the most beautiful barmaid in the world ??, big thankyou to all the staff !

PLEASE LISTEN - DO NOT GO HERE Although seeing a few bad reviews on this place it was my first girls holiday away and was cheap so we thought it couldn’t be so bad, we were completely wrong. Holiday stay from Hell. To start with when we arrived, there were blood on the sheets from previous people, mould on the bed, limescale in the pans, dirty cutlery, broken dirty shower that flooded (which took 4 days before it got fixed) no bowls, the pool was green and it just seemed extremely run down. You have to pay for WiFi, but it only works next to the pool. You have to wait 4 days to get a replacement towel, baring in mind it’s very hot so we were showering all the time. When the cleaner did come all she would do is empty the bins, we felt like we were living in a hostel! Even though it was cheap it was nowhere near what we paid for in the slightest. However putting all this aside, the worst part about our stay was the unbearable staff members. They were extremely rude, unprofessional and unhelpful. We simply were getting fed up with everything going wrong and basic hygiene standards weren’t coming close to being met, so after multiple times trying to talk to staff members about it but nothing coming from it, we complained to the company we booked with. The manager then stormed over to our room after he received an email saying we complained whilst my friends were just in their towels and started shouting at us, being very intimidating and angry, we managed to film it and my friend will be linking the video in her review. Our fellow neighbour who took her granddaughter on holiday had the same feelings as we did, and she was outraged at the poor service so we knew we weren’t alone in what we felt. We did not spend a Penney on their food or drinks nor did we sit by their pool, every day we would walk to a different resort called chandris which was lovely and spent our days there, the staff were absolutely lovely and so welcoming, their food was great and the staff made us feel so safe and they also had free WiFi. It was super clean and they had padding on the deck chairs, day beds, clean pool, and was all round great. When we told them we were staying at kolouris they all went ‘oohhh nooo’ so we knew it had a bad reputation.

Location wise it is good. Food and the bar could be lot better. Cannot say it is highly kids friendly either. Room was decent but the air con was a bit dodgy. Approach to the hotel does need improving particularly if you are walking to and from the hotel.

DO NOT STAY HERE ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A GROUP OF GIRLS!! Stayed here in summer 2017 and searched the reviews out of curiosity tonight, was seriously shocked to see so many positive reviews but then again on my visit the staff offered a free drink for a positive review an offer a few of my group accepted so there is no wonder it has many reviews which offer a untrue reflection of the hotel. The location is right on the beech and has 2 access points. If you are coming back late at night from the strip you will have the option of walking the dodgey pitch black back road or walking pitch black beach which is notorious for crime. On my stay 2 English lads got mugged on this beach and had to visit the medical centre on the strip. The staff were in most nice enough however one of the older staff members who could not speak English was very rude and thought it was acceptable to drive a motorbike about the complex at 3/4am in the morning which was bizzare and extremely noisy. In terms of the room cleaners barely clean and during our week stay we were given fresh towels once. The room had disgusting odour and we were charged extra for air con that was very poor. If you require a safe it also comes at an extra cost and are not even in the rooms. The safe was behind reception. The hotel (more an apparment complex) was completely run down. Unless this hotel has completely changed since my visit (Highly unlikely) I would stay away not for families or Girls holidays.

Had a blast! Cheap, clean, close to the sea and near Kavos. Staff was amazing, food was good.

Memorable holiday. Very friendly staff they make us feel like home. Rooms were very clean and the view was something else. All day we were relaxing in the pool sunbuthing and drinking cocktails. During our stay the weather was amazing.
