Another tourist trap with bland food and unreasonable prices. I ate much better in Greece in less touristic areas. Would not return to this restaurant.

Great traditional Greek food, the lamb in the oven was amazing, however the moussaka was a little greasy. Well worth a visit and off the main street so better value for money than the restaurant in the square.

Small taverna just off the main road. Food was really tasty, well priced (everything on the photo + 2 drinks for €30) and friendly staff. Only downside is the traffic. Even though it is not on the main road, it's still a pretty busy street.

Best place in town. Forget the restaurants at the harbour-side. This place is marvelous! Please order the oubergine with meat. Very grandly staff and a real Greek food experience!

Kouzis is a family run taverna two blocks from the main port road, offering home cooked lunch and dinner. I first visited Kouzis for a coffee on my way to Bohali and returned for a late lunch. I returned two days later for some more of the home cooked food. The existing owner took over Kouzis over a year with the restaurant being in existence since 1890. Unlike most tavernas in the area, the menu is small focusing on pasta, salads, meat, fish and greek specialty dishes. It also features daily specials that include meat and fish dishes. The beef stew was incredibly tasty which a rich and aromatic sauce. The pork chops in tomato sauce was something special - rich, full of flavour and tender. The sea bream was served whole and grilled together with perfectly cooked rice. The Greek salad was fresh and generous with the olives and feta cheese. The frigania (a Greek dessert) was the freshest I have had in the island. In the coffee department, Zouzis plays by tradition, only serving Greek coffee and no mainstream variations such as latte, expresso or decaf. Price wise, Zouzis is good value for money with two main dishes, one Greek salad, three sparkling waters and two portions of frigania adding up to 53 euros (inclusive of all taxes). The service is warm and inviting, with the owner taking enormous pride is describing the dishes and the home cooking. The interior is simple but cozy and air conditioned, featuring three outside tables and large sliding doors opposite to a quaint church. If you are in the area - after a boat trip or sightseeing - avoid the restaurants on the main port road and pay Zouzis a visit - you will not be disappointed with the taste of the food, the warm service and the ambience. It is a hidden gem.
