★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Στη λεωφόρο Κάτω Σουλίου βρίσκονται το κτήμα και η έπαυλη Μπενάκη, η οποία από το 1962 ανήκει στο Μουσείο Μπενάκη. Αν και όλα τα κτίσματα υπέστησαν σοβαρές φθορές τις δεκαετίες του ’50 και του ΄60, το κτήμα έδωσε πνοή στην ευρύτερη περιοχή του Μαραθώνα. Τα 30.000 στρέμματα απασχόλησαν αμέτρητους αγρότες, εργάτες, βοσκούς, οικονόμους και επιστάτες και η τοπική οικονομία γνώρισε άνθηση.
The Kataki estate and villa are located on Kato Souliou Avenue, which has belonged to the Benaki Museum since 1962. Although all the buildings were severely damaged in the 1950s and 1960s, the estate breathed new life into the greater Marathon area. The 30,000 acres employed countless farmers, laborers, shepherds, housekeepers and caretakers and the local economy flourished.
