4.5 - Salad and starter were amazing! Very fresh and very flavorful as well. - Chicken was grilled perfectly, very nice taste. - Burger was fatty to my taste, didn’t like it that much. - Staff are very kind but, we almost waited 30-40ish minutes till the first dish arrived because it was very busy, but the taste of the food worth the wait ;) Plus, great value for the money and good portions of food. Nice experience on the roof, very lovely vibes.

Four foodies agree, best lunch in all of Athens! Everything we ordered was phenomenal. Highly recommend the Greek starter platter, watermelon salad and the ceviche-- perfection!!

Great atmosphere, great food, great service. We've been to L' Amiral twice (once for dinner in October and and once for lunch in January) and both times had a fantastic experience! The food was delicious, seasonal, Greek but with a modern twist and the service was exceptional. I highly recommend sitting outside on the roof terrace which offers great views and a cosy atmosphere.

Fabulous restaurant and bar with a superb menu serving food that is spectacularly well cooked and presented! Spacious, comfortable and welcoming! The seafood pasta was a delight as was the grilled shrimp with an amazing sauce on the side. We also met the owner (on the right in photo) who is a great host and gentleman to talk to. The roof terrace was airy and atmospheric. Highly recommended!

VERY slow service and not attentive at all! We waited for so long to everything: to be seated, to get menu, to have an order, to get the food…. The burgers were good but other than that very mediocre… the sea bass fillet was ok but veggies that came with it were inedible! In addition, the restaurant is very pricey for no reason at all. Dishes looks good at the pictures but not in taste… We came because of the high rate they got in google but honestly, there are better places to eat. The view of the acropolis is beautiful but besides that - eat somewhere else.

The restaurant really lives up to its name. We visited L’ Amiral on our last night in Athens and were lucky to find it. The place looked great, nicely decorated, with beautiful lighting and an inviting ambience. I thought "if someone takes care of their place in so much detail, they are most likely going to care of their food experience” and I was proven right. The menu was inventive and had creative spin on traditional Greek cuisine and was interestingly unique and different to what we tried in other places Athens. The food was delightful without being over-the-top and the ingredients were fresh with amazing texture and flavour. We started with a delightfully refreshing Dakos summer salad with tomato, cucumber, feta cheese dressed with mint pesto and lime vinaigrette. The rest of the starters were all very tasty too - definitely recommend the seabass ceviche with cucumber, kiwi and tomato and grilled octopus with baby potatoes and stewed onions. I had the slow cooked lamb shank with creamy potato puree and an distinctly aromatic rosemary sauce My partner loved his seafood pasta that came with mussels, shrimp, seabass and a delicious garlic-chilli wine sauce. At the end of our dinner they also provided a shot of Mastiha as a digestivo (a Greek sweet liqueur), which was a lovely end to our enjoyable dinner. Great wine selection of Greek varieties and we ended up pairing our dinner with a bottle of organic wine “Oreino” from the Peloponnese region (Roditis and Moschofilero grapes – intense aroma and floral taste) and a bucket full of ice was brought to up to keep it chilled. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, attentive to our needs and catered to our dining experience. We will for sure be back next time we are in Athens – definitely recommend it!

I can recommend this restaurant. very nice service. the restaurant is located under the acropolis. is the perfect place for dinner after visiting acropolis. The seafood pasta was very good and the mussels were done perfectly, texture and taste worthy of a top cook! the calamari was very good, fresh, not gummy. the only thing I can fault is a Greek starter, quite poor for 10 euros, but tasty. the whole consumption was accompanied by a friend, a cat, probably a neighbor, not aggressive, he also ate.

We loved coming to this incredible restaurant several times while in Athens! We chose to sit at the tables along the street, under umbrellas. It is a beautiful location to relax amidst the busy streets and shops. The Acropolis and its ancient temples are nearby. The staff is excellent, their patience and hospitality is genuine. The food is fresh and delicious. On sunny days, it is especially glorious here to soak up the atmosphere of the historic Plaka and enjoy local musicians. L' Amiral is a singular place!
