When we arrived, no one was there to check us in- we had to wait in the lobby for half an hour before we got to our room. What is more, we did not learn until we arrived that our villa was a mile away from the hotel itself, which meant we required a driver every time we wanted to the hotel or back to our villa. Yesterday, we waited AN HOUR for the driver to come pick us up just so we could go back to our room. So frustrating. We paid a lot for what we thought was a luxury hotel. Unfortunately, it was anything but.

We stayed here for 2 nights and were given a free room upgrade and all our needs were met and even surpassed. The attention to detail was tremendous and we received great hospitality from Aggelos, Penn and the rest of the staff. Would highly recommend this place as a beautiful setting for your wedding or just for a relaxing holiday. Spectacular views of the caldera and Great facilities. Thank you so much. Mark and May Kent

I stopped at this hotel because from this point the stairs appeared and we had a baby with us in the stroller. we wanted to leave the stroller at the reception but the staff did not allow us. they were very insensitive because it was impossible to continue the ride with the stroller. it left me with a bitter taste. that shows how kind the staff can be. And i would payed for that, too.
A	Amy Kalokerinos on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I would give this hotel 0 stars I would! This is a bait and switch hotel. We arrived not to a 5-star hotel but to a room with 1. NO WINDOWS 2. SMELLED OF SEWAGE 3. SHARED A WALL WITH A BUSY PARKING LOT. There was an open and used bottle of hand lotion sitting on the nightstand making us question who was last in the room. The furniture was old, damaged and none of it matched as if it was taken from a thrift shop. THIS IS NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL! The front desk manager did nothing as he said it was his last room. We said we would not be staying and agreed if they wanted to charge us for the 1 night that would be ok. However, they still charged us for the entire stay during one of the busiest seasons then re-sold the room on booking.com!! These guys are crooks, save yourself and book somewhere else! There are so many good hotels in Santorini (as I have been coming for years) it was sad to see this stuff starting to happen and this is NOT typical of this island.
J	Jamie Pickup on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recently had our wedding at La Maltese and we stayed at the venue for a total of 3 nights, 1 night on either side of the wedding, and I can't begin to explain how fantastic it was! Regarding the venue - the rooms which have been renovated since we came to view last year were exceptional, the food in the bar/restaurant was exceptional (the best sushi on the island), the staff were amazing and so attentive throughout our entire stay and the manager, Aggelos, couldn't have done any more for us! Regarding our wedding - the venue looked stunning, the food was out of this world once again, the staff were once again exceptional and the whole day/night was perfect! Thank you to all the team at La Maltese Jamie & Bobbie

The music is played SO loud that the whole area is affected. One local business who we rented a quad bike from mentioned that they have considered calling the police, such is the disruption to the surrounding area. It ruins the evening stay in the vicinity. I asked for the music to be turned down on 3 occasions. After being promised they would, nothing transpired. The management and ownership ought to be ashamed of themselves.
