★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Looked forward to seeing an authentic Cretan representation of a crafting village but it's not all it could be. The zoo is almost non existent and rundown... shops are ok... craft workshops would have been better manned... they were empty when we got there. Can't comment on food as we didn't have any.

When we were here the animals were sadly gone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lasinthos eco park makes for a nice stop on the Lasithi plateau for lunch or refreshments.
Allow some time to see their workshops, church and farm/petting zoo.
If you have some more time, it’s well worth spending the night in one of their beautiful apartments!
The view is amazing!
Breakfast is served in the café, for only €5 they serve you homemade feta/yoghurt, homegrown cucumber and tomatoes with lots of other local delights.
The owner as well as some staff members are very good in English and everyone is friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We escaped the heat wave to the Lassithi plateau and stayed here for three nights. We didn't regret it. The plateau is a good place to just relax or hike if you like. There were just enough sights to explore in the plateau. The staff in the eco-park was very friendly and helpful. The apartment was very nice with an amazing view over the plateau and a lot of space. The breakfast was tasty and made from local products. And all this came with a very very affordable deal.
(The "zoo" itself was a little bit shabby and we sympathized the cute little dog in the cage during the heat.)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic place! Very interesting to see the traditional Cretan way of making pottery, raki, weaving, herbs and much more. They also have a beautiful church.Their cafe is lovely and colorful with nice refreshments. Their farm is amazing with very happy, clean, healthy animals with which you can interact. The staff is very friendly. Their souvenir shop is amazing with handmade items and food made on Crete. We love this place and will go back soon!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great trip and tour to visit for a day (or two). You can sleep here as well, as they provide cozy apparments near the farm, with a view over the village.
The owner is super friendly and makes you feel comfortable. We had breakfast here with all own ingredients. Very special! Was a very unique breakfast! (See photo). For a very reasonable price as well.
Then you have some traditional workshops like a pottery (where you can make your own pots).
Can recommend! Very cool and interesting to do.
