★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arrivati il 15 maggio da paleokastro ad elounda per fare una escursione all'isola di spinalonga, vista la bellezza del paesino decidiamo di fermarci. Percorrendo la strada per plaka altro paesino da cui partono le barche per spinalonga notiamo sulla sinistra un tratto di spiaggia senza ombrelloni incuriositi ci fermiamo così che di fronte vediamo lena snack pool bar apartament entriamo e veniamo accolti con un sorriso da lena stessa chiediamo se aveva posto per dormire e se ci faceva vedere le opzioni subito lena prende un paio di chiavi e ci mostra due soluzioni una vista mare laterale con arredi nuovi e luminosa e l'altra con balcone affacciato sul mare optiamo per quest'ultima anch'essa con arredi nuovi e molto luminosa. La sera stessa chiediamo di cenare ci sediamo e ci accoglie giorgio ci illustra ciò che può prepararci scegliamo 2 piatti tipici che in Grecia si preparano la domenica moussaka e pasticcio con una insalata greca come entrata mezzo litro di vino della casa bianco arrivano i piatti tutto molto buono al momento fatidico del conto questo ci arriva accompagnato da 2 crepes e il classico raki offerti dal mitico Giorgio. A nota conto onestissimo.
Che dire ci siamo fermati 3 notti ed abbiamo conosciuto tutta la famiglia che gestisce questo splendido posto. Dalla 95 bisnonna alla mamma di lena e ilena e Giorgio e al nipote costa figlio di lena e il cugino figlio di Ilena che hanno persino bisticciato che dire di più tipica accoglienza greca

 Arrived on May 15 from paleokastro to elounda to make an excursion to the island of spinalonga, given the beauty of the village we decide to stop. Along the road to plaka, another village from which the boats to Spinalonga leave, we notice on the left a stretch of beach without curious umbrellas we stop so that in front of us we see lena snack pool bar apartament we enter and are greeted with a smile from lena herself we ask if she had room to sleep and if she showed us the options immediately lena takes a couple of keys and shows us two solutions one side sea view with new and bright furnishings and the other with a balcony overlooking the sea we opt for the latter also with new furnishings and very bright. The same evening we ask to have dinner we sit down and he greets us giorgio shows us what he can prepare we choose 2 typical dishes that in Greece are prepared on Sunday moussaka and pie with a Greek salad as entry half a liter of white house wine the dishes arrive very much good at the fateful moment of the bill this arrives accompanied by 2 crepes and the classic raki offered by the legendary Giorgio. A very honest account note.
What can I say we stayed 3 nights and met the whole family that runs this beautiful place. From 95 great-grandmother to the mother of lena and ilena and Giorgio and to the nephew costa son of lena and the cousin son of Ilena who even quarreled what to say more typical Greek welcome

Try the chicken souvlaki if you're after a bite to eat - they're made fresh and it's excellent with a Mythos.

Apartments are clean and comfortable. Food is amazing and great prices.
Great location, right next to the beach and only a few minutes walk to the main square of Elounda.
Highly recommended, will definitely be coming back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everyone has a different view when it comes to scoring something, I give an honest opinion of the experience I have had. I'm not looking for a 5 Star all inclusive! What we have here is a fantastic place to stay with happy people making sure you are looked after. The bar serves lovely ice cold beer in frozen glasses, snacks are served all day, Chris will be looking after you at the bar helped by the owner George when it gets busy. The bar is opposite the beach so you have the best of both worlds. Just chill out everyday.
