Boat trip elounda - Windmill small port

If you want the best of all what creta is famous for, you will find it in this boat trip with popi and George. The boat is a fishermen traditional boat fully and  beautifully renovated by captain George, a fisherman himself. Popi his wife is a person who represents all the beauty of elounda, warm, caring, a beautiful person. with a big heart. You will feel welcome immediately. The trip itself is a wonderful experience, obviously George knows every corner of the sea around Elounda. We are a family of spoiled swiss. we booked a private cruise and we have  enjoyed every moment of it. Highly recommended. Marco

Excellent day out with Giorgos & Popi. Unfortunately 10 guests cancelled so to our advantage we were the only 2 on the boat and we were treated like VIP guests with a Chicken dinner, salad home made chocolate cake unlimited wine and drinks. We were taken around Spinalonga and seagull island and other places of interest, we stopped for swimming and given lots of information by Popi. Would definitely recommend we had a fabulous day..thank you so much for your hospitality.

Great great trip. We had a private cruise on Aug 2021 and I booked by email, thanks to Popi being helpful and responsive. We were two families of friends, and we asked to have it private to avoid contact with strangers on the cruise. This was a dealbreaker for other cruises, where you would have been sharing big but overcrowded boats. We managed to meet at our preferred time, and we brought some food for the children, but in hindsight we did not need at all. Popi prepared so much food (*delicious food*), but she also prepared our food for the (spoiled) children that wanted the ham and cheese sandwich instead of the greek taste. We decided for a 4 hours trip with option for another hour (that became 5.5h at the end), and went for a swimming cruise. Giorgios took us in very beautiful places with pristine waters. Even if you don't want to swim, those place are magical. My 4 years old, that is always in the "too cold, don't want to swim", did not want to leave.. Giorgios is very skilled as captain and makes you feel safe. My daughter slept in the captain quarter, cuddled by the waves and Giorgios guarded her while we enjoyed the trip. After he allowed the girls to take a taste of being sailors under his command ... They were so excited and I'm sure both of them will have forever memories of this trip.. they asked if we can have another the day after, but we were staying in a different city.. otherwise I would have had another one for sure! The boat is perfectly suitable for small groups, we had snacks and a late lunch (or early dinner if you prefer) on the table in the back of the boat and we never felt squeezed or unconfortable. I think 8-10 is the perfect number but even 15 might fit with some arrangements (for instance if you have small kids, they will never sit at the table anyway...). For the technical part, I'm not an expert but I've been in a lot of boats and lived by the sea for 20 years, and I felt completely safe on the boat, everything looked perfect and well maintained. Popi also told me they're checked twice a week for COVID-19, and all the snorkeling gear you can freely use on the boat is either new or completely sanitized. If you want to have a real cruise, for the better place in Elounda, spoiled with food and amenities, with real cretan hospitality, you cannot miss this.

Absolutely recommendable !!! We had a wonderful cruise with Popi & George today. They are fantastic hosts - very professional, warm and friendly. We all felt very comfortable from the first second. The boat is great, very spacious with plenty of seating. Below deck there is the possibility to change clothes and a small toilet. We made an unforgettable stop for a swim and were spoiled with the best dinner & great cake. Plus delicious wine, raki and lots of fun with the two hosts. We can recommend a trip with Popi & George to everyone who is looking for something special and the true luxury of real hospitality. We will definitely be back and will carry this day in our hearts until then....

We took a 3 hour private cruise with 2 of our friends. Absolutely amazing trip. Popi and Georgios really looked after us making sure we were comfortable and happy throughout. We went for a cruise along the coast and then swimming in a quiet bay before feasting on magnificent homemade ‘snacks’. It was the highlight of our holiday and we highly recommend to everyone.

Fantastic boating experience with 5-star service and food! We were wined and dined with home-made cheese, bread, small plates, lamb, dessert and coffee! Boat is pretty large and it was perfect for my entire family including my 11 month old baby and 60 year+ old mom. Popi and George made us feel so welcome. I've done many boat trips, but this definitely is one of the top experiences (and well priced too, for the experience). Will come back again in the future :).

We had a wonderful sunset trip aboard Popi and George’s boat. They were very flexible about dates/times and activities. It was very easy to book and Popi responded to emails promptly. The boat is very comfortable with benches along both sides, a dining table and plenty of shade cover. It was also a very safe configuration for young kids (compared to some of the motor boats other companies offer, as they can’t accidentally fall out). Also useful to know that there’s a proper toilet under deck, essential with young kids! We were 4 adults and 4 young kids and everyone had a brilliant time. As soon as we got on the boat (you have to “walk the plank” which the kids thought was great fun), Popi offered us drinks - white, rose or red wine, beers, soft drinks including fizzy orange and iced tea. We were also offered nuts and crisps and the kids had lollies. Later on we had dinner - homemade by our host Popi. Orzo pasta, salad, pitta with Greek yoghurt, chicken with wine jus etc. Dessert was pineapple with greek yoghurt and cherries in syrup followed by watermelon. All delicious! We swam in crystal clear waters, snorkelled and saw some beautiful scenery. On our return the hotels on the shoreline were lit up as well as the fascinating buildings on the island of Spinalonga, very pretty. For 8 people we were charged €80 per hour, which is less than half of what the competitors’ had quoted. I was a little apprehensive about this but was reassured by the great reviews and I’m so glad that we went with this company. They are clearly honest and hardworking people who want their guests to have the best possible experience. Thanks Popi and George! Next time we come back to Crete we will definitely go out on your boat again!
