We were used to finding them on every corner on Kalymnos island, bit not here. Luckily we found O Leonidas on our trip to Sparta. The owner is really nice, the service fast and the food is great for cheap price.

So we went to History Cafe. It very neat, light and nice place.A great greek grill house in the center of Sparta. Good service great meat on open fire delicious. A must

If you're in Sparta, there are a few places you'll probably want to see, like Leonidas' statue and tomb. Right next to Leonidas' tomb, you can get wonderful Greek gyros at Leonidas. I found this place my first day in Sparta and have eaten there three times in the past two days already. They're incredibly great values, too, as they give you generous portions of meat and fillings for less than 3 Euros! ..and despite the low price, they treat you like an honored guest with table service. They even treated me to a free Greek liquor after recognizing me as a repeat customer. I can't imagine a much better value than this. Staff are super friendly and most of them speak English. All of this right next to the tomb of Leonidas. No fuss, no hassle.. just simple, amazing value gyros!
