Southest part of continental Europe is a must visit during your trip to Mani. In Greek mythology it was believed that there were the gates for Hades. It is around 30-40 minutes wal9, depending on the pace. A good pair of shoes would be suggested. Try avoiding going at noon, since there aren't shady places to rest at your way there!

The walk is ok the first part goes up the second is flat and the third is full of rocks. The views from the Lighthouse are amazing. There are 2 tables and some chairs made of Rock that you can sit and relax. I went with my little kids and my wife. It's not difficult. But the absolutely best part from there is the beach at the start of the trail. Maybe the best beach in Mani.

If you visit Mani you are so close to reaching Greece's southernmost location and Europe's second southernmost location! Cape Matapan (also know as Cape Tenaron) is a must visit place. Make sure you have proper hiking shoes (trainers will do the job as well) and some water with you! Ideally visit it at sunset time! From the point you will leave the car, it will take you 30' to 45' on average walking speed. JUST ENJOY THE BEAUTY OF THIS STUNNING PLACE!

Nice hiking trail, with views of beautiful turquoise water. The Lighthouse itself is not very special, but none the less a nice place to catch your breath and enjoy the sea breeze before you hike back.

Beautiful & spiritual place. Go all the way to the light house, follow the red ground. 2k walking from the parking place to the lighthouse. Sunrise & Sunset will be the best time! Enjoy Photos: Itay Horwitz

1,96km from a parking place. 30 to max 50min walk. It’s wise to take mountain shoes due to rocky surface. Quite flat approach with amazing view for a see. Worth a detour- with great panoramic view just before!

I see that many people are walking with small kids. For my 5 y o daughter the path was a bit hard. It requires hiking shoes and lasts 4,5 km (both ways). Dont forget water! The lighthouse (1887) is amazing! The view and the air drives you crazy!

Excellent place and quite easy to reach. Better to wear athletic outfit, hat (if sunny) and you're good to go. Grab a bottle of water and enjoy the path. It should take you around 30-40'. Enjoy
