★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Το κάστρο και οικισμός Αχιλλείου στέκεται σε επιβλητικό ύψωμα πάνω από το κόλπο του Πόρτο Κάγιο. Δεν απομένουν πολλά από το κάστρο παρά ένα σημαντικό μέρος των τειχών στα ανατολικά και στα δυτικά. Στα βόρεια και στα νότια του κάστρου υπάρχουν οικήματα και έτσι δεν είναι δυνατή η πρόσβαση. Στην ανατολική πλευρά των τειχών υπάρχει πινακίδα που υποδηλώνει τη θέση της Ανατολικής πύλης του κάστρου και από εκεί υπάρχει και μονοπάτι που οδηγεί σε μια βρύση με δροσερό νερό.
 The castle and settlement of Achilleios stands on an imposing hill above the bay of Porto Cayo. There is not much left of the castle but a significant part of the walls to the east and west. To the north and south of the castle there are houses and so access is not possible. On the east side of the walls there is a sign indicating the location of the east gate of the castle and from there there is a path that leads to a fountain with cool water.

Unused place unfortunately !!!
Together with Mystras and Monemvasia they were the three important castles of the Peloponnese !!!
