Particularly friendly stuff and quick service. Sadly I have to admit that the dishes were not anything special but just okay. Medium priced restaurant. However the location is amazing and you have to visit its basement to see the history of Markos Vamvakaris' music career.

We found a table quite easily late in the evening and ate well. Their salad was tasty as was the aubergine and fried zucchini. The view was also lovely. All in all, we had a good time and had good service too.

Exceptional food with an astonishing view of Ermoupolis. Great for couples or family gatherings. We visit Lilis once a year in summer for family gatherings. The staff are friendly and the food, I’m particularly the lamb and the aubergine based dishes, are great. A must do while in Ano Syros.

The food here is amazing and the service timely. We tried: Beef, which was very tender and tasty. It warmed me up. A plateu of cheese selection. Make sure to utilize the dip, as it changes the experience in a unique way depending on the cheese variety. I took a bite with dip and one without on every piece of cheese. Green salad with spinach, lettuce, arugula, sesame, figs and a sweet sauce. Really balanced and a catalyst in digesting the whole meal. We got happily stuffed, admiring the view of the moonlit see and the islands across it. Not recommended if you don't like cat company. Otherwise say hello to Vangelis, the tavern's mascot cat, on my behalf. Happened upon this amazing balcony tavern by accident, while scaling Ano Syros to reach St George catholic church at the top.

Hands down one of the best taverna experiences in the Cyclades. Ridiculously delicious expertly prepared dishes along with amazing ambiance, decor, and service. The restaurant oozes history. The lamb ladokola is beyond sublime. The view is something else to experience, especially during a full moon. We visit at least once almost every year and have never been disappointed. Always book ahead since it does get packed. Highly recommended for dinner or special events.

To be honest the view is beautiful, that is if you manage to get the good tables. On the other hand, the dishes are just ok, and the portions are small. The prices are high too. The service is inexperienced and slow. Do not recommend, unless you cant find anywhere else to sit.

Short review: Small plates - high prices, food isn’t anything special (except Lilis meatballs), slow service on busy days but pretty friendly, lack of reservation (at least for how it happened to us), great view with a touch of chill vibes. Full review: It is a restaurant with history and it has a beautiful view. We were lucky enough to have the chance to visit it while almost full moon creating a rather romantic atmosphere. However, we tried calling to reserve a table but they told us that after 20:00 they don’t reserve and that we have to come earlier so they can see what they can do, so we visited at around 20:40 asking for a table and they put us in waiting list and called us at around 9:30 for the table. Now as far as food and service is concerned. They had full tables and a lot of people so their service was really slow, they seemed really confused and lost at some point resulting in delaying our orders and not bringing some things we asked for (apart from food). Nevertheless, the stuff was really friendly. In addition, the food was not enough for its price, and not anything special (in the food pictures you see in order: the salad with the dried figs, the roasted lamb and the Lilis meatballs). The salad wasn’t anything special or big and the chunks of fig were really small, the lamb that I heard so much about also was a small portion and nothing special at all, however, the meatballs were one of the best meatballs I have ever had. I have to add that something from the foods above bothered our stomachs. Overall, we didn’t come fully hungry and yet we didn’t leave satisfactorily full for the price of almost 50€ (2 person table). I wouldn’t suggest any family to eat there, you will pay too much to fill the stomachs of yours and your kids. However, for couples it is good as long as you don’t mind paying much and not eat much and go to enjoy the view and eat lightly. Personally, I don’t find the history of the place a reason to have small plates and high prices, I always subjectively critic the restaurant, you may go there and have a better experience than mine. In the end, if you have eaten good food you will understand what I mean by "nothing special".
