Ι	Ιωαννα Ιωαννα on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ένα εντελώς διαφορετικό αξιοθέατο, από αυτά που έχουμε συνηθίσει να βλέπουμε στην Ελλάδα. Ένας βουβός κάμπος, δυο "ουρανοκατέβατες" λίμνες, πλούσια πανίδα, θρύλοι, μελέτες, απόψεις σχετικά με την δημιουργία τους και την λειτουργία τους στο πέρασμα του χρόνου και των εποχών. Κι άλλες απόψεις και γκρίνια όσων αφορά την τουριστική τους αξιοποίηση, τον κακοτράχαλο δρόμο που οδηγεί εκεί, τις αποτυχημένες προσπάθειες δημιουργίας ενός ακόμη "αξιοθέατου" εμπλουτισμένου με τις απαραίτητες εγκαταστάσεις για την τέρψη των επισκεπτών.... Ένα αξιοθέατο που το μόνο που χρειάζεται για να το απολαύσεις, είναι να κάτσεις σε μια πέτρα (αν βρεις μέσα στον κάμπο) και ν' αφήσεις τις αισθήσεις να ξεκουραστούν... A completely different attraction from what we are used to seeing in Greece. A silent plain, two "sky-high" lakes, rich fauna, legends, studies, views on their creation and operation over time and seasons. And other views and grievances regarding their tourist development, the rugged road that leads there, the failed attempts to create another "attraction" enriched with the necessary facilities to entertain visitors .... An attraction that all you need to enjoy, is to sit on a stone (if you find it in the plain) and let the senses rest ...
G	Georgios Tsitsoulas on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Μοναδικό τοπίο και γεωλογικό - αστρικό γεγονός, αλλά η εγκατάλειψη στο μεγαλείο της. Σε οποιαδήποτε μέρος του κόσμου θα ζούσε η τοπική κοινωνία από το τοπίο. Εδώ μάλλον ζούνε κάποιοι λίγοι τοπικοί παράγοντες από τις μίζες που πήραν για να φτιάξουν τα έργα πέριξ των λιμνών. Δεν δημοσιεύω τις φωτογραφίες εγκατάλειψης, γιατί ντρέπομαι. Unique landscape and geological - stellar event, but the abandonment in all its glory. In any part of the world the local community would live from the landscape. Here probably live a few local actors from the starters they took to build projects around the lakes. I do not publish abandonment photos, because I'm ashamed.

Y	Yanni Wssgl on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Οι λίμνες πάνεμορφες αλλά ο χώρος έχει αφεθεί στην μοίρα του, ξερά χόρτα παντού,την ώρα μάλιστα που η Ελλάδα καίγεται ο δήμος Αλμυρου έχει ξερά αγριόχορτα παντού και εννοώ παντού,στα παγκάκια δεν μπορείς να κάτσεις τα έχουν φάει τα αγριόχορτα,τα μονοπάτια που οδηγούν στην λιμνη απροσπέλαστα από χόρτα και βατα, φώτα σπασμένα, σκουπίδια γύρω από τις λίμνες που ο δήμος αποκαλεί πολιτισμικό και περιβαντολογικο πάρκο,μάλλον πάρκο εγκαταληψης είναι. Ένα μεγάλο μπράβο στον δήμο αλμυρου και τον δήμαρχο για τον πολιτισμό που προσφέρουν στην περιοχή και τους δημότες τους τέτοια κατάντια ούτε στην Σομαλία. Α ναι υπάρχει και μια παιδική χαρά αλλά μαντέψτε...ειναι διαλυμένη!!! Ακολουθούν φωτογραφιες. The lakes are beautiful but the place has been left to its fate, dry grass everywhere, at the time when Greece is burning the municipality of Almyros has dry weeds everywhere and I mean everywhere, you can not sit on the benches they have eaten the weeds, the paths that lead in the lake inaccessible from grass and swamps, broken lights, garbage around the lakes that the municipality calls a cultural and environmental park, rather an abandonment park. A big congratulations to the municipality of Almyros and the mayor for the culture they offer to the region and its citizens such downstream not even in Somalia. Yes, there is a playground but guess what ... it is broken !!! Photos follow.

Είναι κυκλικού σχήματος και βρίσκονται 4 χλμ ΝΔ της πόλης του Αλμυρού, σε υψόμετρο 130 μέτρων από τη θάλασσα. Από τις εγκαταστάσεις αξιοποίησης μονο η παιδική χαρά είναι σε καλή κατάσταση. Κρίμα για ένα τόσο αξιόλογο μέρος. Zerelia Lakes are the only lakes in Greece created by a meteorite fall. They are circular in shape and are located 4 km SW of the city of Almyros, at an altitude of 130 meters from the sea. Of the development facilities only the playground is in good condition. Too bad for such a remarkable place.
Β	Βασίλης Αθανασίου on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Μια τοποθεσία μοναδικής προιστοριας. Ένας υπέροχος υδροβιότοπος. Δύο λίμνες που δημιουργήθηκαν από την πτώση μετεωριτών. Όμως ενώ φαίνεται ότι έχουν γίνει προσπάθειες τα προηγούμενα χρόνια από την δημοτική αρχή του Αλμυρού για αξιοποίηση του μέρους, πλέον όλα έχουν ερημώσει. Κάθε χρόνος που περνάει οι φθορές μεγαλώνουν. Όλα είναι κατεστραμμένα. Φωτιστικά, μονοπάτια, παγκάκια, παρατηρητήρια όλα κατεστραμμένα και σπασμένα. Άλλα έχουν υποστεί φυσική φθορά κι άλλα έχουν βανδαλιστει. Άλλο ένα υπέροχο μέρος της Ελλάδας που μένει αναξιοποίητο. A site of unique prehistory. A wonderful wetland. Two lakes created by a meteorite fall. However, while it seems that efforts have been made in recent years by the municipal authority of Almyros to utilize the place, now everything has been deserted. With each passing year, the damage increases. Everything is damaged. Lighting, paths, benches, observatories all damaged and broken. Some have suffered physical damage and others have been vandalized. Another wonderful part of Greece that remains unused.

The relatively fertile soil of the area is intensely cultivated all around the lakes since prehistoric times and a neolithic settlement has been excavated on a mound near by.
