★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This "lagoon" is three saltwater ponds next to each other. The only shorebirds I observed were Kentish Plovers (with chicks!), but I think migrants would stop by in the spring and fall. Other birds include many Crested Larks and House Sparrows in the farm fields adjacent to the lagoon. Farm animals can be heard from the road. The path is a dirt road for cars, so watch carefully if you're walking. Also beware of muddy sand and potential quicksand.
