About LIONDI Traditional Greek Restaurant

In the outskirts of Nemea, District of Korinthos, Peloponnese lies the small picturesque village ‘Leondio’ (Liondi), famous for its vast vineyards and the rich winemaking tradition of its people. Amidst these surroundings of unique, scenic, natural beauty, we, the Darsinos family, run and cultivate our own vineyards, with full respect to our long-lasting wine making tradition and produce one of the finest grape variety wine ‘Agiorgitiko’. Being firm believers in the idea that excellent wine can only be accompanied by excellent food, we have created Liondi Restaurant, at the foot of the historical hill of The Acropolis.

We ordered the moussaka, which they claim to be the best in Athens, the pastitsio, and both were well made and very tasty. Our waiter also recommended the grilled octopus which was very flavorful and tender - not tough at all! Our waiter was so nice and attentive, and even gave us free dessert and some shots of mastiha, a Greek liqueur similar to limoncello.

We were given a refreshing fruit salad at the end. Everything was so fresh and tasty! The staff was very welcoming and friendly. I can recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic, fresh and excellent quality Greek food!

The chef even sent out cheesecake and limoncello for us before we left. Simple Mom/Pop place with an explosion of flavors. Find it and go! Don’t skip this one.

George was a great host.. he made the whole experience memorable and he brought a smile to our faces. We forgot we were tired… The location was near the acropolis museum and a busy tourist area. Highly Recommended!

We were served by George and he was so friendly and made the entire meal even more special. He made sure he understood our likings and dietary requirements. I would highly recommend this place. We were later also treated by complimentary sweets! ? Tip: If this is your first time in Greece, definitely get the tzatziki dip, it's nothing like what you might get outside Greece.
