If I had eaten here when I first arrived in Athens, all of my other experiences would have been horrible. Such amazing food, friendly staff, and did I mention the food is amazing? I enjoyed a gyro and watched my traveling partner enjoy the stuffed chicken filet. Best food in Greece, hands down!

Great food and unobtrusive service! WiFi password was suggested, not I had to ask - rare gift of sharing ;). I tried Greek salad and pork with potatoes. Price/quality ratio 10/10.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!! BEST FOOD we ate in Athens! We were greeted with a "SMILE," by friendly staff. All the food was cooked to order, everything was hot and fresh. The Chefs (Maria/Steve) were amazing, we got the chance to formally meet the Chefs, the owner (Mrs. Connie Thomas), and our waiters Zoe and Mad (Mad Hatter) were awesome. This was by far the BEST experience from our entire week in Greece. The staff cared about our experience, honest about the menu, shared the history behind the restaurant and gifted us the best desert I've ever had. "But don't take my word for it." This is a must try, you won't be disappointed. And they listen, attentive, and you will feel like the most important customer in the restaurant. Take a look at the dishes we had. Started with the fresh fried potatoes with the house mayo & herb dip. Fresh grilled bread swept with olive oil and special herbs. Entrees included -Lamb "Kleftiko" with pepper potato terina, agioli naxo's graviera -Chicken ballotine with spinach mushrooms and celery root purée (ABSOLUTELY WOW) Finished with desert -Loukoumabese with honey -Fresh Chocolate Eclair (Desert of the Day) and not just any normal eclair special recipe by Chef Maria Wine Nassiakos red and white

Amazing food and the staff are the kindest most welcoming people I’ve ever met. I truly felt part of their family. I HIGHLY recommend you make the time in your trip to have a meal here

Nice and comfortable outdoor dining with proper shelter. Located close to the acropolis as well. Ordered the quinoa salad with watermelon and other fruits and it was refreshing! The sea bass (fricassee) was soaked in broth and was tasty, though some of us felt the broth can do a bit less with the lemon's tanginess. Overall still a yummy dish. Also ordered a pasta dish (linguine with shrimps) and it did not fall short on our expectations! Dessert was Greek doughnuts (traditional honey and walnuts) and it was really good! Service staff was friendly and helpful and I know why this place is called SMILE restaurant. :)

This is an extraordinary restaurant. Zoe is full of life (true to her name) and is more than happy to explain their traditional dishes with a modern twist. She is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Her brother’s dishes are truly a work of art - impeccable presentation with great taste from his years at a nearby Michelin star restaurant. I had the crispy Moussaka and the sea bass with plaki sauce. Definitely recommend if you want (almost) Michelin star-like cuisine for normal prices

We came to Smile based on a local recommendation and we are glad we did. The restaurant is family owned. The daughter, Zoe was the best hostess and was so warm and welcoming. We even spoke to mom who was also delightful. Her son is the chef. We truly felt like family. Best of all, the food was phenomenal. The best we’ve had in Athens. They describe their food as a twist on the traditional, but still Greek at its core. The Greek salad was made with a feta mouse for example, which from a flavor perspective made it so good. My wife ordered the Sea Bass and I had the pork gyros. Such good flavor and the portions so large I couldn’t finish it. A first for me, as I pride myself on being a life member of the clean-plate club. Dessert was homemade baklava ice cream and Galaktompoureko. I’ll include some photos but my food photography skills are lacking. Highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be back again.

Incredible service, incredible food. You won't be disappointed! Staff were so helpful and honest with suggestions and also very humble after hearing how good their food and service is. If you want a taste of modern, Greek cuisine, look no further. Cannot speak highly enough about this place. Wonderful atmosphere too. Thank you so much for such a lovely evening ??
