Malia Holidays - Mattheou Zachariadi 4

The beds are horrible, small and very uncomfortable. Showers are small, and you can hear your neighbors through the bathroom walls. It is very hot in the hotel and they charging 50 euro plus for air conditioning. Breakfast is very poor and cold after 8 am. They are a lot of cats in the hotel. Can't even have breakfast outside without cats around. The hotel is clean but comfort is more important.

Overall great hotel, BUT 3 things really stand out... - the smell in the rooms... it smells like a medical clinic. - the beds are hard, really hard. - pillows big and hard as well. Everything else is fine, nice clean pool, good breakfast and dinner (no drinks included at dinner, you have to order), nice staff... dont understand why they close the pool at 18:00 though...

Do not stay at this hotel!!!! The rooms are not being cleaned. When we arrived the shower was not properly cleaned and there were stains and hairs from the previous guests. While we stayed here for 7 nights the cleaning ladies did not wash the bathroom floor....not even once. We put our towels on the floor to have them changed and found the same dirty towels hanged in the room. The breakfast is very poor and the dishes they serve the food in are not properly washed. All glasses ar dirty, we even found lipstick stains. When toilet paper ran out, they did not replace it. The rooms are nice for 2 stars and so is the balcony but the lack of interest from the staff and the dirtiness are not worth the low price. Please avoid this hotel.

Everything was great Great service and very nice rooms. Emilia at the pool bar was awesome and very helpful with everything. And also at the restaurant Fani and Manos they help us and recommend us to try the traditional food of Crete Thank you!

I actually liked the hotel, the staff and the overall friendliness. The reason why I give 1 star is this one very rude waiter. He made the whole family feel very uncomfortable. Even though I asked him not to serve us anymore as he was ruining our first family holiday in 16 years, he refused and said it’s not possible as he is the only waiter (this happened just when another waiter started working). All in all, he ruins the hotel experience although everyone is super nice.

4 stars out of 5 for a 2-star hotel! The restaurant/food: Breakfast: good. There is a range of vegetables, Feta, eggs, fried potatoes, sausages, bacon, beans, cakes, watermelon, melon, yoghurt, tea, coffee and some kinds of juice. Dinner: but for tea and coffee the same. However the main dishes leave much to be desired. Still, for a 2-star hotel absolutely appropriate! The rooms: The beds are a complete disaster! A double bed consists of 2 single beds joined together with a hole in between. Box springs are piercing your body while you’re trying to sleep. A double-ended lash was observed crossing our beds…. Restroom/Bathroom: Too small. Impossible to take a shower without having taken the shower curtain off and without having flooded the whole bathroom… The location: Good. Right in the centre of Malia. A supermarket is really close. To the left is Malia Old Town with high-quality restaurants. To the right - party street with bars and cheap fast food restaurants. Only 15 minutes walk to the beach! Staff: Really friendly :) But don’t expect to get more than 2 slices of Feta cheese without daring to ask for it :)))) And don’t even think of taking the hotel bracelet off!!!! ;)) Al in all, for those who want to save some money and are ready to suffer the lack of good sleep is ok. 6/5 for Mike and Emilia, the greatest bartenders of all time. Despite the financially unstable situation that Greek economy serves them, they manage to stay extremely positive and always helpful to the guests. This hotel would be nothing without them! Wish them all the best and that all they give would return to them doubled.

What can we say about our stay at Malia Holidays? Accommodation, food, swimming pool, garden, everything 3 * +. Superlative communication, welcoming people, as if we were at home. Congratulations to the coordinating staff and on the first places in a priori order Emilia, Vanghelis, Manos, Filia. we hugged dearly and can't wait to come back! Valentin and Elena-Victoria.
