First time they told me to come in in 30 mins as they wanted to eat. It was 17:30. The next day I gave it another try, waited 30 mins, got the covid certificate scaned and waited another 20 mins without anyone coming to take the order. The restaurant was not full …

H	Hana Simikova on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice restaurant in the heart of monemvasia. The food is very nice and all taste like at home. One thing to suggest is for the waiters to be a bit more active to get the customers. They have good product to offer but for sure disadvantage in absence of the view.

After reading others reviews about the state of the kitchen, it makes sense. Thankfully, I did not see the kitchen. The meatballs I ordered were the saddest meatballs I have ever tasted. There were 3/4 very small ones with a side of greasy fries for around 8 euro. I'm sure there is better traditional Greek food in Monemvasia. Please don't put yourself through this even if you are hungry and it's the only place open!!

If you visit the kitchen before ordering, I am not sure if you would still want to eat there, the hygiene is a big minus. In the closed dining area there were flies and cats trying to climb on the table and snatch anything they could. The indoor environment is old and feels that it needs a huge refurbishment. All in all, not a total disaster but there are more value for money, better,-and certainly more hygiene-friendly options in the old town. .

They checked our vaccination cards, but tables are close together in the small indoor dining area. Tables full at lunchtime. W.C. is up some stairs at the back of the kitchen. Could be cleaner. Many cats around the outdoor tables, one got inside while we ate. Staff should be better about keeping faces covered. Food was tasty.
