S	SMB palo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sailing along Peloponez you can't missed Monemvasia. In Monemvasia you can't bypass Mateo's restaurant. We enjoyed very nice evening, great food and more than 200 different kind of beers. Thank you Matthaios.

He was always trying to make us happy so it was hard to finish the food and leave. We usually eat seafood and other local specialties there. As we are visiting this place by sailboat before my arrival, I called Mateo asking about the conditions at the port. He is very helpful and friendly, ready to help in the case too.

In the afternoon we passed by this place to have a coffee when we noticed somebody fishing in the sea right in front of the restaurant. It appears this was the cook. Without the use of a rod, just with a string and a hook he started pulling out something like five big fishes in twenty minutes. We got into a conversation with the waiter (the cooks brother) and he asked if we would like to have this fish for dinner. A rhetorical question if you ask me. So we come back in the evening, the cook starts gutting the fish, and then he prepares it on the bbq. The taste is fantastic. The sauce that comes with is fantastic. The experience is fantastic. Ask for the good wine because you will be on your knees begging for more ? We've been to a few places across the Mediterranean and if you are anything like us (fresh, uncomplicated but good food is the thing to go look for) then this the place. First review I ever wrote.
I	Ivana Stankovic on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had baby tuna (off menu) and octopus in wine sause with rice and a bottle of white wine with aubergine puree as appetizer. The food was great and so was the atmosphere all thanks to the friendly hosts with a great sense of humor.
1	1kadr on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious food, friendly host and amazing views. What else can you ask for? We ordered saganaki shrimp, octopus in tomato sauce, calamari , and much more . I was not quick enough to snap photos of all the dishes before they were all nibbled on.
