Coffee tables under tree shade is unique. Nearby water fountain ⛲ mitigates somewhat noise from nearby heavy traffic. Coffee shop service and prices average.

Rather small square with a fountain at the center and a a lot of trees all around the square. Once you are under the trees you experience a dramatic drop in temperature, which makes even more enjoyable the experience of enjoying a coffee or juice in one of the many cafes of the square. The square is locate right next to the US Embassy in Athens.

The classic hangout of the late nineties and noughties has become a bit more commercial these days, but cafe bars like Briki, Kyrios and Loras are still worth the visit.

Mavili square is centrally located and under normal conditions full of local color and flavours. There is a nice fountain and cafés and a couple of benches where you can sit to rest after a walk or just enjoy watching life go by! Right now, in the midst of Covid19 lockdown things are a bit different as the cafés are closed and the square looks empty apart from locals walking by, shopping at the square's kiosk or various shops ... coffee, fruit & veggies, sweet shop icecream and Cigar shop. You can also get some of the town's best hot dogs and a pretty good pizza, take away or delivered to your home. I'm adding photos of my favorite shops at the square. ??

Mavili square has always been a point of reference. I always remember my self around there. Briki is my favorite bar in Athens. You should definitely go there, have fun and at the end of the night eat a "vromiko" at Kantina Mavili.

A nice little square, always busy, close to the American Embassy. There 3 cafès/restaurants who have tables here, all with very nice beverages/food. The fountain in the middle of it gives it this little something. Only downside were the pigeons who were very annoying, as they flew onto chairs and tables.
