Sorry guys but my recent experience wasn't that great... I think it is relevant to mention that I am a beauty therapist myself and it's my 21st in a few days so I booked in (yesterday) to get my acrylics re-done in time for that. The treatment was very painful because the technician continually cut the skin next to my nails with the nail file, and she has also bruised my nail bed on 7/10 nails due to improper use of the drill machine (there are purple/red marks that are visible on the nail bed which I have never experienced personally). The skin surrounding my nails is still red and sore 24 hours after the treatment + the acrylic has already started to lift which should only begin to happen at the 2 week point, not 1 day after the service. I am really upset not only because it's my 21st in a few days and my nails don't look as I was hoping for, but also because this service cost me €50 (it costs me $45AUD to get my nails done at home in Australia, so technically this service cost me $80AUD after converting currencies). I know that acetone and antibacterial creams would kill any bacteria present but even after telling the technician the skin around my nails is open and sore, she still wiped acetone and antibacterial cream over these areas. There were 2 instances where I felt as though I could cry from the pain and wanted to stop and leave. The technician was very friendly and kind - she even offered to call a cafe to deliver a drink for me - but after spending a full 2 hours in the salon just for an infill (probably 1.5 hours of that I was in pain), I didn't even want to stay any longer/go back to have them fixed. My partner has never seen my nails look like they do now after a manicure, he couldn't believe I sat through it and he has been trying to help me fix them up. Again I'm really sorry guys because you were all so friendly and cute but I wouldn't recommend this place for acrylics. HOWEVER the other ladies there at the time of my appointment looked as though they were enjoying their normal manicures and pedicures.
