This location and the people which manage It, Kiki and Vassi deserves 20 stars, not only 5. Rooms are incredible, don't care are small, it s so much good taste inside. And the price is so good. Breakfast extremely good. Can ask for more but it s impossible to eat everything. Only if you are so fat and can eat a cow :))) Kiki and Vassi are such welcoming people, helping you with whatever you need, bringing us sweets, coffees, wine, etc etc. Everything deserves our gratitude.

You might find hundred pictures of the Melanthi guest house “mansion” and the Makrinitsa village, but nor of these pictures will describe the hospitality of the Mrs. Kiki. We were surprised with her hospitality and service. The rooms are exceedingly clean in an traditional cosy design, by waking up in the morning you’ll be amazed with the wonderful view out of the window. Do not miss breakfast! You’ll be treated with fresh cooked goodies such as traditional cheese pie and “galatopita” therefore I’d love to see the emotions of an everyone who’s gonna try it at first time. Of course you’ll be offered to have several choices of an different way cooked eggs, and few choices of coffees like Greek coffee, espresso or Nescafé and an orange juice. Croissant and other snacks enclosed with homemade jams and freshly baked breads. To say that the breakfast is immensely good is like to say nothing about. Mrs Kiki will warmly take care of your staying, she’ll guide you about the area, by having a coffee and an friendly talk you’ll get useful information such as where to go , what you have to see and of course what and where you have to enjoy the local kitchen. You can absolutely relay on her and be sure you’ll get full details about the Pilion mountain and it’s sites. An entertainment program will drives you out of your imagination with its historical backgrounds, your eyes will drown into the surrounded landscapes. Mount of centaurus will welcomes you with endless blue vew of the Pagasitikos Gulf of an Aegean sea and an amazing view of the city of Volos and traditional villages. Make sure that you are ready for infinitely walks and your soul is ready delight. I leave 5 stars and it’s still not enough. I’ll patiently wait for our next trip to Makrinitsa to see again mrs Kiki and stay at her traditional palace.

Lovely place with the most amazing view from the room. The location is excellent to explore the whole areas in Pelion. Very helpful hosts which make your stay comfortable.

Melanthi accommodation is the best choice to reserve in Pelion!! Miss Kiki was so kind and helpful,showing us in detail the trip we can make around Pelio and also the best restaurants to visit (amazing food by the way)... She treated us like she knew us, very warm and sweet. The breakfast is the best we have had so far from other hotels and the staff was also very kind and joyful!! Definitely going back there if we visit Pelion again!! Can't imagine of a better place to be!!

My partner and I are three-peat guests (return visitors) w/ Kiki and Vlasis @ Melanthi. From the warmest of welcomes, expertise for day excursions, stunning views of the bay and Volos, and oh-so-cozy beds, Melanthi is a remarkable place to explore a magical part of Greece in Makrinitsa and the Pelion Peninsula that will leave yearning for a return visit.

The place is a real gem in Makrinitsa. Kiki is the best host ever. Together with Niko, Eleni, Vlasis and the team, they make you feel at home far away from home. The breakfast was simple and delicious, everything home-made and fresh. The rooms are traditional old construction very well maintained, clean and with a nice design touch! The views from the hotel rooms or from the terraces are stunning. We stayed only for 3 days and with Kiki's help we visited most of the important things in the area of Pelion. From trekking paths, wine tasting, coastal food, mountain food, site seeing, history, etc etc. Very sad to leave the place but sure that we'll be back!

Amazing! The place is beautiful, the rooms are spotless clean, with an amazing view of Volos. Kyria Kiki, the host, is a wonderful person that took us for a guide in Makrinitsa and spent the evenings with us in a beautiful terrace outside the rooms, drinking wine with all the guests and listening to Greek traditional music.
