★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing time spent with Antonis and Artemis in their beautiful house. Antonis explained us the whole honey process and details about bees with passion and pedagogy, before making us taste the honey through its combination with tea, nuts or cheese. Beautiful moment spent in his company, where we exchanged about more than honey. If you are in Chania make sure to visit him as he and his wife are lovely people (they even offered us figs from their garden for the road), dedicated to a sustainable honey production and of course producing a delicious honey.

If you want to get off touristic paths and experience something special you should visit Antonis. You will learn a lot about bee keeping and honey, but also will have an opportunity to have a grasp of local life.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Andonis is very nice and will tell you A LOT about bees and the island of Crete. You'll be able to taste his honey along with some local nuts, bread and cheese. The tour takes 2 to 3 hours and Andonis's thyme honey is absolutely delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was an amazing experience with Antonis whom we had the pleasure to meet with and chat to about bees and life. Learning about history of bees and seeing them was too exciting and we were able to see the queen more than once !! After finishing with looking at the bees you get to try honey with multiple sides like cheese ?, nuts, and pollen. This experience was by far one of the highlights of our stay . Thanks Antonis!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely wonderful experience!! We were welcomed like friends by Andonis and Artemis and had such a fun, interesting, and really personal morning chatting over delicious honey and food pairings after visiting some hives in person.
Andonis is so passionate and knowledgeable about his trade and answered every question we could come up with during our almost 3 hour visit with patience and enthusiasm. He has been in the business 30 years and is yet completely humble, kind, and personable.
We got to see the bees, honey, pollen, wax, and little larvae in the hive, and even try some raw honey right out of the hive! Andonis also happily snapped some photos of us in the bee garden.
The treats and pairings Artemis prepared were generous and we had more than enough of every combination! Enough to eat almost constantly for 2 hours and walk away not needing any lunch ? - our bellies were very happy and full of honey, pollen, tea, amazing raki ‘liquor’ and other delicious snacks!
We learned SO much and the time passed like nothing in the beautiful home and garden of this lovely couple. It was a highlight of our 14 day trip. I would absolutely recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One more of the many secret Paradises and extraordinary families of Crete. A place where you will feel at home and experience the wonderful world of bees through the eyes of Pap. It is reccommended to take a 2 hours guided beehive tour and then taste the many bee products that the family serves at their backyard.

We had a wonderful time and learned a lot about bees and also had some wonderful philosophical discussions about life. The setting for this talk was very picturesque. This is a visit I would recommend for the entire family! We also got to taste some incredible honey straight from the bee frames as well as other goodies!
