★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ως ναός είναι πραγματκά ωραίος. Οι πιστοί θα έπρεπε να είναι πιο προσεκτικοί. Δεν χρειάζεται το φίλημα των εικόνων εν μέσω πανδημίας.
 As a temple it is really nice. Believers should be more careful. You do not need to kiss the images in the middle of a pandemic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Μου έκανε εντύπωση σε επτανησιακό ναό η βυζαντινή αγιογράφηση, η οποία ωστόσο δεν είναι αρκετά επιτυχημένη, οι μορφές των Αγίων δεν βγάζουν την αναμενόμενη πνευματικότητα. Το εντυπωσιακό τέμπλο όμως, τέλεια αποκαταστημένο από το σεισμό του ‘53 σώζει την κατάσταση, όπως και ο σήμα κατατεθέν λακαριστός επιτάφιος της Μητρόπολης, ένα πραγματικό κομψοτέχνημα που δεν χρειάζεται καν στολισμό. Και δικαίως
I was impressed by the Byzantine hagiography in an Ionian temple, which, however, is not quite successful, the figures of the Saints do not bring out the expected spirituality. However, the impressive iconostasis, perfectly restored by the earthquake of ‘53, saves the situation, as does the trademark lacquered epitaph of the Diocese, a real masterpiece that does not even need decoration. And rightly so

Metropolitan Church of Zakynthos. Saint Nicola's.
With wonderful painted scenes of Saints. Good Friday in the center of the temple the simple epitaph.
