the place is nice and the staff at the reception very friendly ! not far from the city center and the port .. also the beaches are not far. we spent two nights, nice apartment with two separate bedrooms, well equipped, the only problem is one of the bedrooms, smelled bad, especially the bed and the ear cups! it was like damp or washed and not dried. housekeeping staff must watch this! our balcony had a view of the turtle garden, it was excellent for the kids????

This resort is very tired dated and cannot adequately cater for its guests. No WiFi in the rooms although they advertise as having free WiFi, my room had a leak in the ceiling when it rained. The food was cold (supposed to be hot) over cooked and inedible. The staff of which there are very few worked long hours. There were no napkins, or hand sanitizer in the dining rooms or communal areas not very good in these covid times. On arrival to our rooms again no hand wash or hand sanitizer we brought our own but again not acceptable given the current situation. All inclusive but we had to pay for water! Free wine but not free water very strange. Communal areas badly lit in the evenings, towels and sheets were changed during the week which was appreciated however I would not recommend the place and the one star is for the hard working staff.

We are just on our way back from one of the best holidays we ever had. We felt very welcome at the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. We had an enormous appartment with a nice, big terrace overlooking the sea and the hills. There was even a washing machine and an ironing board!! t was very quiet and the equipment and furniture seemed completely new. The food was tasty and various. I can't understand people (who stayed there at the same time as we did) complaining about cold food and missing napkins. The first was definitely not true ( if you travel to southern Europe you should accept that people usually don't eat the boiling hot stuff we Germans are used to) and the latter is ridiculous. You only had to ask if something was lacking!! It's true that the juices being served outside( not the best idea if it's cold and rainy) were not the highest quality and we had to carry our luggage three floors upstairs because there was no lift and at first we had some problems with the heating because it was quite cold but compared to all the rest these were minor things and the rest was just wonderful. The hotel is not far from the village of Kassiopi ( a 10 minutes walk) , there are several supermarkets nearby and quite a nice beach. We were the very last guests his year , it was a very familiar atmosphere, it felt more like being at home than in a hotel and we enjoyed every moment and would be happy to come back one day.

Kasiopi is beautiful and has everything you wish for on holiday. I would certainly return to the area, however not the hotel. The room provided was not as advertised. It was dated, unclean and there were several issues such as yellow water, a massive step in the middle of the room as well as a sink blockage. When they unblocked the sink they left the bathroom floor flooded with water and floating black bits everywhere. We complained and requested to move rooms twice, the staff didn’t care and denied both times without checking room availability. After the third time they conveniently managed to find a new room. The staff were generally very unhelpful. As for all inclusive I wouldn’t waste my money. The food and drink was very regimented, for example you could only get an ice cream from 4pm to 5pm. The hot food was served cold and the cold food was the same for lunch and dinner. They do not provide bottled water, Diet Coke or Tonic within the package and comes at an extra cost. At meal times the drinks machine was out of order during our whole stay. We ate out half the time because of this. Guests are directed to the corner shop owned by the hotel to catch you out of pocket. The staff would often say ‘it’s not my rules’ when telling us to move area or table. They seemed scared of their manager, who himself was not friendly or accommodating. Although they extended our check out until 4pm free or charge, 1 star is too generous for the Michaelangelo resort.

The worst hotel/resort I have ever stayed in!!! This is a 2 star hotel. On arrival no beds were made and we arrived at 12 midnight. Broken furniture, mold in the bathroom, aircon not working, cleaners leaving the doors unlocked. When concerns were raised with reception she smiled that smile that was like her job was terrible so your stay is going to reflect how she felt kinda thing. My family were really really upset and I felt awful as I was powerless to put things right for them. I’m not a man of means financially so couldn’t afford to look for alternative accommodation. Even during the buffet my wife was shouted at by this grumpy Greek guy as she was apparently ruining the chicken, how she was picking it up!!! I am soooo disgusted in this place I can’t even express! My only holiday which I had to really save for ruined! The staff seemed to enjoy seeing you have a terrible time. I’m really really hurt by the experience here!

Just finishing our holiday at Michelangelo resort and what can I say. We have had an amazing time here. Rooms adequate for the price, food is amazing plenty of variety. Staff friendly and helpful. Either relax by the many pools or walk 10 mins to town and sightseeing definately coming back.

We had such a lovely time that we've booked for next year. The room we had was on other side of road from main hotel. Our room was a bit dated but had everything we needed. I think everyone needs to remember these hotel's have had no customers the past two years with covid. I'm surprised most of them are able to open. No customers no money for sprucing the hotel's up. If everyone kept this in mind you can see past the little niggles. We were there for a break in the sun and thats exactly what we got and enjoyed every minute of it.

Where do I start ………. I realise you get what you pay for but we were expecting better after reading reviews and having visited this hotel 6 years before - when it was acceptable! The room was clean and spacious but VERY dark! Clean towels daily which was great! Shower pathetic with curtain clinging making it difficult to wash and loose plug hole in the middle of the floor leaving a gaping hole! Waiting staff were great - friendly and the best thing about this hotel! The Restaurant Manager never smiled once and never greeted us or even acknowledged us - he walked around telling staff what to do and trying to look busy shuffling the food and moving things aimlessly from A to B - not hospitable at all! Coffee cups were too small to hold the machine dispensed coffee, fruit juice machine out of order the whole holiday, 5 teaspoons to share amongst all the guests!! The food was shocking!!! Cold, presented awfully and really not worth even a 2 star rating! The WORST Spaghetti Bolognese we have ever experienced - smelt awful, tasted worse and honestly inedible! Had to pay for diet cola and tonic water, beers watered down and white wine awful! Basically used the hotel as a place to sleep and that was it - May as well have booked a cheap room somewhere as we ate out every meal and spent no time at the hotel! This hotel has loads of potential but are totally wasting it - I wouldn’t recommend it and certainly would never book again! The only plus were the reception, cleaners and waiting staff!
