★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious, fresh food and a beautiful garden. The service here is wonderful. About 20 minutes after we left, a truck behind us on the road flagged us over. Turned out I had left my bag at Mina's Taverna and the owner had managed to follow me and give it back! It was already 5* from me but I am super grateful.

The service is perfect, they are super nice and approachable.
You must try it if you want a real local cretan experience.

The lady made some nice food for us.
The meat was delicious, so far the best we had on Crete.
Also the local wine is so tasteful.
We will definitely be back !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were at mina’s place the summer 2021. The food were very tasty, fresh, authentic and traditional. The familly is very friendly and Nice, they show us the vegetable garden. We spend a very good time all the alternoon with them. A big pleasure to met you. Big kisses from france!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent place. Here you really get that Greek tavern feel with no tourist-trap stuff. The food, the atmosphere, the people - all authentic and beautiful.
Portions are really generous and the food is delicious. I highly recommend mousaka and the greek meatballs. The greek yoghurt with candied oranges as a dessert was an absolute surprise that I did not expect to enjoy that much.
This might seem a bit in the middle of nowhere, but it's definitely worth a drive if you're going from Rethymno side, or just exploring the mountains.
