IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL TOURISTS! ALL clubs in Rethymno follow a certain policy, they do not let in ANY tourists. Why? They call them cheap and are afraid of any dangerous situations, as if Greeks are angels on earth. DO NOT be surprised, it has been like this for years.

Very rude and don’t let in foreigners

They are racist. Don't accept non Greek people in unless they have local friends with them. Djs are really bad. They let gaps between songs and play good Greek songs without any power. Maybe they let locals practise their future dj careers in the bar, without any tutor unfortunately.

This business openly discriminates against customers based on nationality. It is the business's open policy that Greek nationals will be permitted entry to the premises in circumstances where any other national - EU citizen or otherwise - will be prohibited. As a British tourist spending time - and money - on the island of Crete, I was very surprised by this policy. After reading with horror of the violence perpetrated against tourists in Spain recently, I desperately hope that Greece is not going the same way - and I hope that businesses such as Minibar are not intentionally fuelling hatred amongst local people towards foreigners.

Really unfriendly towards tourists, especially the boss, although locals seem to like it. Actually I've been inside 2 hours and liked it a lot, but after taking an eating break next to it at Everest (recommendable), they didn't let me in again. When asking why they just talked Greek. Very pity, as all other places and people on this island seem very very nice and friendly towards tourists. So not recommendable towards tourists. Edit: After that I've got into another disco around the corner, and met a group of nice people, that wanted to go back to Minibar. I've told them the story and they enthusiastically somehow talked me in :) inside we had a great time until the morning.

Only access by reservation if you are a foreigner... racist and shameful

As a tourist, you will probably not get into the club. I don’t know why that’s the rule but it’s sadly true. Even if you are a abroad student and lived in Greece for quite a while they still treat you different when they see your passport. I tried to make a reservation about 10 times, never got an answer.

So just a couple days ago me and my brother were trying to get in. The girl and security in the door were unable to to make decision themselves if they can let us in or not so they call for the manager. The guy comes out and says: This is locals only place so if you want to get in you have to purchase a bottle of alcohol in the bar. I said ok we will purchase a bottle of wine. Than he said no it must be a bottle of spirits and minimum size 0.70Cl :D When I started to laugh and tried to explain that it’s a bit too much 0.7Cl of whisky or vodka for two people he just said that we can go away than.
