Mirage - Mirage

Rudest service we have encountered in Greece. We rented a studio, owner gave a cash discount because she had a gap and worked for her. She asked for a 10:30-11 am checkout time, and if we wanted to stay a day longer we'd move to another studio, we agreed this would work for us. At 8:47 am she came to ask us to move to the other place, than she came back in 10 minutes again to remined us to move and at 9:40 the cleaning ladies barged in. On several other occasions their lack of professionalism shined through. Another example: my husband asked if they have filtered water (to avoid creating more plastic) the owner's answer was - "you can buy it at the store", he asked for a sponge to wash the dishes( there is nothing in the kitchen except a couple of plates and pots) his answer was you can also buy it in the store. There are no screens- mosquitos are rampant and it's impossible to leave the doors/windows open during the night. We found out in the middle of the night that there is no remote control for the AC, it was a miserable night. Later on we found out that AC is additional cost. This should have been disclosed upon checking in, you cannot rent a place in extreme heat without AC and not notify.

Went there just for lunch. Nice location though I really not liked their Gyros sandwich. We had to wait a while to get something that didn't satisfy our appetite.

Lovely, family run, hotel, right at the sea and the beach. Loved the pool and outside restaurant area. Nice food and drinks, at the pool side and in the restaurant area. Welcoming and friendly staff, always up for a quick chat and teaching us some greek words :-) Daughter celebrated her birthday while in Greece and they even wrote her a card. We had a studio, which was fine. * Could have been better with some small tweaks like musquito screens, a bathroom with showerscreen so it does not become like a small pool inthere after taking a shower ;-) , some hooks to put your towels away, some shelves to put toiletries away, and a drying rack on the terrace would have been great!

Just stopped there with my family. Very warm and welcoming hosts (place run by a family). The pool is amazing and so were the cocktails. We will come back for sure.

Just back from a week in arillas,where because the food was excellent at the Mirage,we ate there twice. Lovely family run the business,and the food absolutely superb. Terrific new rooftop table with fantastic views of the village. Would highly recommend to anyone ??

Beautiful pool, fab location, very friendly and attentive family running the business. We had the maisonette and it was exactly what we needed. Bar and restaurant were great, the food very tasty and good portions. We will come back. My children will miss Vasili ✋

Apartment basic by our own previous family holidays in villas, but totally adequate for purpose and typical of Greek holiday accommodation for two. Hosts very friendly and will help with anything asked..They work long hours to ensure your best possible holiday experience. Pool and grounds are clean tidy and well kept if a little tired. Location couldn't be better for beach and sea swimming. Clean sandy strip beach which is good for youngsters...no wonder people return year on year. Clientele currently predominantly mature but we are here out of school holidays. Good food at Mirage and at also pretty much every location in village all within a 2 to 10 minute walk. Cocktails and a coffee or beer are on tap all day and evening, as are snacks and cooked meals, including breakfast. Relaxed ambience, usually recognized as a laid back place to stay and whole area bustling but genuinely quiet. Prices everywhere are more for all the reasons we know about in Europe but Arillas and Corfu as a whole is still reasonable value for money and it's good to support family run businesses that have suffered over last two years, just as we try to do back in UK. Weather gorgeous which always helps. Things to watch for are extra charges for air-conditioning, daily charge 7euros plus units used... The one down on our holiday was last two days when family group from hell descended. Saying anymore will be against site guidelines and it was not the hosts fault at all, they cannot predict who they get arriving it seems, but (sadly!) we were glad to leave after two days of their anti social behaviour in and around the pool, foul language, family arguments and noise at night. A real shame.

Can't get much better than the Mirage! Family run hotel/bar & restaurant right on the beach front, lovely food and cocktails and the most stunning pool and views! All the family are always so welcoming, we always come here when in Arillas?
