★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Naldo and I stayed here for 4 nights and it was quite simply magical. It felt like we owned the beautiful piece of land and that we were living in this quiet village. NO sound of too many cars, thousands of stars twinkling at night, gorgeous aromas from the fruit trees ...and yet just a few minutes from the ancient Faistos and of course Matala. Great to go and visit the beautiful hippie beach but I also loved coming home to the peace and quiet. Everything fully equipped for what you need, AND comfy beds, thank goodness. So tranquil and perfect for my busy brain that needed to slow down and write.
Mike has poured his love into this home and is a fabulous host! Was also super fast and easy to get to Heraklion for our ferry - great drive through majestic valleys - oh and make him take you to the little gorge - I won't spoil it by telling you what's there!
Hope to visit again one day and do a proper boat trip :)
