Beautiful church, but it should be left open for more hours for visitors to the island.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Μητρόπολη του νησιού πάνω από 150 χρόνια. Βρίσκεται στο κέντρο του χωριού κοντά στη θάλασσα. Μέσα στην εκκλησία υπάρχει η εικόνα της Παναγιάς της Κουνιστρας που βρέθηκε το 1950.Είναι η προστάτιδα του νησιού και αποτελεί προσκύνημα για τους ντόπιους και τους επισκέπτες.
Metropolis of the island for over 150 years. It is located in the center of the village near the sea. Inside the church there is the icon of Panagia Kounistra that was found in 1950. It is the patron saint of the island and is a pilgrimage site for locals and visitors.
