★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Τα αποκαλυπτήρια του μνημείου έγιναν το 1986. Το δημιούργησε ο Δημήτριος Αρμακόλας ένας από τους διασημότερους σύγχρονους γλύπτες στην Ελλάδα. Το μνημείο υμνεί τους αγώνες του καπνεργατικού κινήματος την εποχή που η Καβάλα ήταν μια από τις μεγαλύτερες καπνοπόλεις στα Βαλκάνια.
The monument was unveiled in 1986. It was created by Dimitrios Armakolas, one of the most famous contemporary sculptors in Greece. The monument commemorates the struggles of the smoking movement at the time when Kavala was one of the largest tobacco cities in the Balkans.
