Made by sculptor Yiannis Parmakelis, it stands imposingly in front of the town hall of Kavala and beautifies the relief depiction of the monument of the Heroes' site. Both works stand there to remind the glorious struggles of the Greeks from antiquity to the epic of 1940-41.
