★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Monastery of Panagia Prousos is located in the heart of a mountainous region, about 20 km southwest of Karpenisi, in the charming province of Evrytania.
Getting there requires a ride on a mountainous road that winds in a beautiful area but is worth every moment.
The panoramic view from there, the serenity and inspiration that this amazing place inspires, make the trip a wonderful experience.
If you are in the area, do not miss a stop at the Dipotama Bridge (the old and the new, 5 km north) on Krikeliotis stream and if the time allows, you may also include Lake Kremaston with the impressive Kremasti Dam as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is my wife's monastery and eventhough she has passed away I still feel the connection to Panagia.
Make sure to visit everytime I visit Greece. Not the best road but worth the trip.
Open your heart when you visit the icon and you will feel a great joy. I do!!!

The clock tower opposite to the Monastery is a unique and the view from the top is awesome
