Έχει 10 τεχνικές καταβάσεις με το μεγαλύτερο καταρράκτη να είναι 15 μέτρα. The gorge of Mavri Spilia is located between Proussos and Tornos, in Evritania. Εγώ πήγα με αθλητικό δεν ήταν η καλύτερη επιλογή γιατί σε μερικά σημεία γλιστρούσε πολύ και δεν κατάφερα να πάω μέχρι πάνω. Καλό είναι να φοράς μποτάκι και να έχεις μπαστούνι μαζί σου αν θες να πας όλη την διαδρομή. Ήταν πολύ ωραία εμπειρία. If you are in Karpenisi, it is definitely worth a walk there. Είναι ένας μικρός μικρός καταρράκτης που σχηματίζουν τα νερά του μια φυσική λιμνούλα με κρυστάλλινα και παγωμένα νερά, που αν είσαι τολμηρός μπορείς να βουτήξεις. Συνήθως τον Αύγουστο δεν έχει πολύ νερό, αλλά μια βουτιά μπορείς να την κάνεις. Απο τα πολύ όμορφα σημεία της Ευρυτανίας που αξίζει κάποιος να επισκεφθεί!! Έχει πάρει το όνομα του από την Μαύρη Σπηλιά η οποία αποτελούσε καταφύγιο για τους κατοίκους της περιοχής κατά την περίοδο της Τουρκοκρατίας αλλά και κατά την διάρκεια της Γερμανικής κατοχής. αφετηρία της διαδρομής είναι μία γραφική πέτρινη βρυσούλα ακολουθείτε το ανηφορικό μονοπάτι όπου σε κάποια σημεία στενεύει και χρειάζεται μεγάλη προσοχή γιατί δεν υπάρχουν προστατευτικά και κάτω υπάρχει γκρεμός. Στην αρχή θα βρείτε μια ξύλινη γεφυρουλα και λίγο πιο πέρα τους καταρράκτες Το μονοπάτι περνά μέσα από έλατα ,πλατάνια και ιτιές και αποτελείται από σιδερένια πακτωμένα σκαλιά και συρματόσχοινα στο τοίχωμα του βράχου του φαραγγιού Η θέα είναι μαγευτική! Ένας άλλος καταρράκτης δεσπόζει λίγο πριν τη μαύρη σπηλιά. Σε λίγο η διαδρομή φτάνει στο τέλος της αφού εκεί που τελειώνει το βουνό εκεί υπάρχει η μαύρη σπηλιά με μία πετρόκτιστη είσοδος πλάτους περίπου τριάντα μέτρων.
