Μπορεί να διακρίνει κανείς την προέλευση του μοναστηριού από τους Βυζαντινούς χρόνους,να θαυμάσει την απλότητα της ζωής των αδελφών (πρόκειται για γυναικεία μονή) μέσα σε ένα υπέροχο και ήσυχο μέρος. In the Monastery of Agios Ierotheos, there is the honorable cart of Saint, the first Bishop of Athens. One can discern the origin of the monastery from the Byzantine times, admire the simplicity of the brothers' life (this is a female convent) in a beautiful and quiet place.
Π	Πέτρος Βενιός on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Στην τοποθεσία Δερβένι, στη βορειοανατολική πλαγιά των Γερανείων, σε μια ήσυχη τοποθεσία περίπου 8 χιλιόμετρα μακριά από την πόλη των Μεγάρων, βρίσκεται η ιερά μονή που είναι αφιερωμένη στην Παναγία την Κυπαρισσιώτισσα και στον Άγιο Ιερόθεο, πρώτο επίσκοπο των Αθηνών. Η ονομασία Κυπαρισσιώτισσα προήλθε από την παράδοση ότι τον 15ο αιώνα οι μοναχοί της μονής σώθηκαν από τους πειρατές ανεβαίνοντας σε ένα ψηλό κυπαρίσσι κρατώντας την εικόνα της Παναγίας. Η μονή χρονολογείται στον 12ο αιώνα. Διαλύθηκε το 1833, με διάταγμα της αντιβασιλείας του Όθωνα και το συγκρότημά της ερημώθηκε. Ανασυστάθηκε ως γυναικεία μονή το 1930. Ο πολυτιμότερος θησαυρός της είναι η Κάρα του Αγίου Ιερόθεου, ο τάφος του οποίου βρίσκεται στο νότιο μέρος του ναού. Κάθε Μάρτιο, στο σημείο που βρέθηκε ο τάφος του Αγίου, ανθίζει μια ροδιά που τα θαυματουργά άνθη της βοηθάνε τις γυναίκες που δεν μπορούν, να τεκνοποιήσουν. Τα άνθη τα μαζεύουν οι μοναχές και τα διατηρούν καθ’ όλη την διάρκεια του έτους. Το καθολικό της μονής διαθέτει σπάνιες τοιχογραφίες του 12ου αιώνα αλλά και αξιόλογες νεότερες, του 16ου ή 17ου αιώνα. Η μονή σήμερα έχει μοναχική αδελφότητα με 16 μοναχές υπό την καθοδήγηση της Kαθηγουμένης Ισιδώρας. Η μονή πανηγυρίζει δύο φορές τον χρόνο, στις 15 Αυγούστου και στις 4 Οκτωβρίου. The name Kyparissiotissa came from the tradition that in the 15th century the monks of the monastery were saved by the pirates by going up to a tall cypress holding the icon of the Virgin Mary. The monastery dates back to the 12th century. It was dissolved in 1833, with a decree of Otto's regency and its complex was deserted. It was rebuilt as a women's monastery in 1930. Her most treasured treasure is the Kera of Saint Jerome, whose tomb is located in the southern part of the temple. Every March, at the point where the tomb of Saint is found, a pomegranate blooms, the miraculous flowers of which help women who can not give birth. The nuns collect the flowers and keep them throughout the year. The katholikon of the monastery features rare 12th-century frescoes and remarkable newer, 16th or 17th centuries. The monastery today has a lonely brotherhood with 16 nuns under the direction of Kathagouni Isidora. The monastery celebrates twice a year on August 15 and October 4.

Если никого не будет обязательно позвоните или дерните за веревку в колокольчик- вам откроют- на фото все видно.
