★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Η Μονή Αγία Μαρίνα βρίσκεται στο χωριό Βόνη Ηρακλείου. Είναι ένα μοναστήρι χτισμένο στο τέλος του χωριού και γιορτάζεται η μνήμη της Αγίας στις 17 Ιουλίου. Ένα ήσυχο μέρος για επίσκεψη για προσευχή, πολύ όμορφο και καθαρό. Την παραμονή της εορτής καθώς και την ημέρα γίνεται μεγάλο πανηγύρι. Κατά μήκος του δρόμου που οδηγεί στην εκκλησία αλλά και μέσα στο χωριό στήνονται υπαίθριες ψησταριές αλλά και αρκετοί πάγκοι με εμπορεύματα, παιχνίδια και διάφορα τοπικά προϊόντα του χωριό όπως μέλι κ. α. και πωλούνται στον κόσμο που πηγαίνει εκεί. Είναι ένα από τα μεγάλα πανηγύρια που γίνονται ακόμα, καθώς κάθε χρόνο χιλιάδες είναι ο κόσμος που επισκέπτεται την εκκλησία για να ανάψει ένα κερί, και να προσκυνησει την Χάρη της. Αρκετοί είναι αυτοί που πηγαίνουν με τα πόδια τους ακόμα και από το Ηράκλειο. Αξίζει μια επίσκεψη, οποιαδηποτε μέρα.
The Monastery of Agia Marina is located in the village of Boni, Heraklion. It is a monastery built at the end of the village and the memory of the Saint is celebrated on July 17. A quiet place to visit for prayer, very beautiful and clean. On the eve of the holiday as well as during the day there is a big festival. Along the road that leads to the church and inside the village, outdoor grills are set up and several stalls with goods, toys and various local products of the village such as honey, etc. and sold to the world that goes there. It is one of the great festivals that still take place, as every year thousands of people visit the church to light a candle, and worship its Grace. There are many who go on foot even from Heraklion. Worth a visit, any day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful monastery with big new churches and small old one just under it. Unfortunately at the moment only 1 nun is staying here. Holy spring water is just under the altar if the old church. Interesting stories and myths can be told by people, who take care of the monastery.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice church made almost like a small monastery .the inside of the church is very beautiful with big painting and nice artwork .the garden of the church is even better there are stairs to the church and small rooms around it .the hall scenery completes with big trees and beautiful local plants and flowers.
