★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good shelter and suffient depths make for and easy mooring, free water on Quay. Nearby tavernas, bars and town with basic supplies. Amazing view to the Monemvasia rock a must vist just over the causeway.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No matter where you tie up you won’t be far from one of the seaside tavernas where you can rest for as long as you like.
The imposing rock with its medieval ruins is a prominent landmark. Sail around it to the south for your first sight of the fortress itself. A marina lies to the left of the port, used by pleasure craft and fishing boats – an opportunity to get the freshest catch from the professionals. The modern town of Monemvasia as well as the fortress are not far off – the latter a little further to walk, but along a level road with a wonderful view.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great setting but very poor holding in extremely shallow depths, replete with odd rocks you might strike. You'll go there because it's a must, but take extreme.care to get as.much chain as possible out. Late night squalls will catch the unprepared and all boats around them. Water is sometimes available .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have swam only a metre away from turtles. The beaches are amazing, really nice restaurants. We saw dolphins at the bow of our boat.
