S	Ssikiotis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Το Μεγάλο Προσκύνημα βρίσκεται 1,5 χλμ. ανατολικά του χωριού Μεγάλη Παναγία, σε καταπράσινη τοποθεσία, όπου παλαιότερα υπήρχε παρεκκλήσι αφιερωμένο στον Αγιο Κωνσταντίνο. Εχει φροντισμένο προαύλιο, κελιά, βοηθητικούς χώρους, θολωτές στοές. Το έντονο κόκκινο και κίτρινο χρώμα κυριαρχεί. Κτίστηκε το 1863 και ξανακτίστηκε μετά το σεισμό του 1932. Αξίζει να δείτε το καθολικό, με ενδιαφέρον ξυλόγλυπτο τέμπλο που θεωρείται του 1870 και η παράδοση λέει ότι το έφτιαξαν δυο τεχνίτες στη Βουλγαρία όπου το δούλευαν για επτά ολόκληρα χρόνια. Οι ίδιοι πιστεύεται πως έφτιαξαν και τον δεσποτικό θρόνο. Η αρχική, θαυματουργή όπως τη θεωρούσαν, εικόνα της Παναγίας, κατά την παράδοση βρέθηκε στο σημείο αυτό μετά από όραμα που είχε μια γερόντισσα, η Γερακίνα, το 1860. Από αυτό το γεγονός, άλλωστε, η πρώην κοινότητα Ρεβενικίων πήρε το όνομα Μεγάλη Παναγία. Η εικόνα έχει κλαπεί από το 1978 και δεν ξαναβρέθηκε. Εξω από τον περίβολο του Προσκυνήματος και κάτω από τον ναό βρίσκεται ο χώρος του Αγιάσματος της Παναγίας με τρεχούμενο δροσερό νερό. The Great Pilgrimage is located 1.5 km east of the village of Megali Panagia, in a lush location where formerly there was a chapel dedicated to Saint Constantine. It has a well-maintained courtyard, cells, auxiliary spaces, vaulted arcades. The bright red and yellow color predominates. It was built in 1863 and rebuilt after the earthquake of 1932. It is worth seeing the cathedral, with an interesting carved iconostasis dating back to 1870, and tradition says it was made by two craftsmen in Bulgaria where they worked for seven years. They themselves are believed to have made the despotic throne. The original, miracle-working icon of the Virgin Mary, was traditionally found at this point after a vision by an elder, Gerakina, in 1860. This is why the former Revenikion community was named after the Great Virgin. The image has been stolen since 1978 and has never been recovered. Outside the courtyard of the Pilgrimage and beneath the church is the site of the Holy Mother of God with running cool water.

A	Anna G. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Χρόνια πηγαίνω στο προσκύνημα αυτό που είχε μια θαυματουργή εικόνα την οποία κλέψανε δεν γνωρίζω τι έχει γίνει πολύ ωραία παλιά εκκλησία μέσα σε δάσος .νιώθεις την παρουσία της Παναγίας . Αξίζει να το επισκεφθείτε όλο το χρόνο. Βέβαια τις μέρες του δεκαπενταύγουστου έχει πολύ κόσμο με αποκορύφωμα την παραμονή και την ίδια μέρα. Μπορείτε να το επισκεφθείτε λίγες μέρες νωρίτερα. For years I have been going to this pilgrimage which had a miraculous image which was stolen, I do not know what has become of a very nice old church in a forest. You feel the presence of the Virgin Mary. It is worth visiting all year round. Of course, the days of the 15th of August are very crowded, culminating in the eve and the same day. You can visit it a few days earlier.
Γ	Γρηγόρης Καρβούνης on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Δεν έχω τις πιο δυνατές σχέσεις με τις εκκλησίες. Πιστεύω στην ύπαρξη του Θεού αλλά δεν πηγαίνω συχνά στην εκκλησία. Στο Προσκύνημα όπως το αποκαλούν οι ντόπιοι έχω πάει αρκετές φορές. Πηγαίνω γιατί υπάρχει η θαυματουργή Παναγία. Με πιάνει δέος αλλά και αγαλλίαση οταν πηγαίνω σε αυτό το Προσκύνημα. Ο εξωτερικός του χώρος είναι γεμάτος με δέντρα έχει καθαρό αέρα που όλοι χρειαζόμαστε και είναι ένας χώρος καλα οργανωμένος για την αναψυχή μας. Οπότε είτε πιστευει κάποιος είτε όχι εγώ θα πρότεινα αν σας φέρει ο δρόμος προς τα εκεί να σταματήσετε να δείτε το χώρο και να μπείτε στο ναό. Σημειώνω ότι ωραία εμπειρία είναι η παραμονή του Δεκαπενταυγουστου όπου γίνεται η περιφορά του επιτάφου της Παναγίας. I do not have the strongest relations with the churches. I believe in the existence of God but I do not go to church often. I have been to the Pilgrimage as the locals call it several times. I go because there is the miraculous Virgin Mary. I am awed and delighted when I go to this Pilgrimage. Its outdoor area is full of trees, it has fresh air that we all need and it is a well organized place for our recreation. So whether one believes it or not, I would suggest that if the road leads you there you stop to see the place and enter the temple. I note that a nice experience is the eve of the 15th of August where the procession of the epitaph of the Virgin Mary takes place.
