★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately this was our final dinner in Athens and left us with very bad taste.
It started with a waitress that seemed angray that we even showed up, throwing napkins on our plates and spilling water when poured angrily. The food was less than mediocre, even the bread at 7.5 euros for 4 pieces was dry and served without even a piece of butter or something to dip it on, so you don't choke on it. One of my daughters had a salad which was edible, no more, and the other (not a kid, she's 19 and quite a foody) couldn't eat hers, which was supposed to be some sort of chicken salad. When she told the waitress that she can take it and that it was bad, her response was "that's how it's supposed to be" naturally without even asking if she wanted something else. (and of course she didn't even consider for one second taking it off the bill).
A starter of stuffed vine leaves came with undercooked rice and then my main course, the lamb dish, was cold. Of course I was informed that it's the way it should be but she did offer to grill it a bit more which I was afraid may dry it, but it actually did the job. (the lamb itself was tender and good, but when served cold it was not something I would choose)
Prices are on the higher side of the scale which could be fine if the food was better, but the service was the worse we had in Greece, and we love Greece and the excellent service we usually experience here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had an awesome experience here. The wine list was great and the server gave us good recommendations. Our food was top notch. This place is a bit pricey, but that should be expected with the quality of food, wine, and service. You get what you pay for here, so I would say it is a good value. Is a place that compines amazing food, a large variety of wines in a great environment.Friendly staff and good prices.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were really excited to try this place for a nice meal on our last night in Greece and first impressions were great! Friendly service, a great menu and nice atmosphere. Our risotto mains were delicious, the others were decent, although everything very small. Unfortunately we left with a bad taste, service become extremely slow and then finally our bill arrived: €8 for a medium bottle of mineral water, €5 for a small can of coke, a “serving” of bread was 1 piece of bread cut in half for €1.5. Multiple bottles of water charged that were not requested (just kept opening them and replacing them without us noticing). Then we went to pay “card machine doesn’t work” (we should’ve read the reviews more thoroughly as people had complained about this multiple times before). When we gave feedback (after we’d paid) to the staff as we left we were met with attitude and told to take it up with the owner. Overall a disappointing experience. Avoid.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The seafood is amazing, excellent wines and the staff gracious and accommodating. They went out of their way to make our meal special, including letting our children order off menu to suit their individual tastes. We had the seafood risotto, Ionian scorpion fish with homemade pasta and the ceviche with sea urchin and sea bream. Incredible! For dessert, we highly recommend the baklava.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're coming to Athens Mono is a must! Everything is live with personality; from the ambience (jazz and Latin music in a relaxed environment) to the staff (who know the menu so well it's like they're reading your mind), our whole experience was excellent. My Fat Duck starter was second to foie gras I've had in the French Riviera whilst the duck melted in my mouth and the quince sauce and kataifi pastry delicately bought the dish together. My main of lumaconi with braised ox tail with mushrooms was perfectly cooked and highly recommended. Our waitress was so helpful and matched my wine and food so well. Despite the large portions I managed to order passion banoffee for desert and it was beautiful; deconstructed banoffee and passion fruit mousse, caramelised bananas, biscuit pieces. It's not the cheapest place to eat but the quality of food far outweighed the price (around 50euros a head for 3 courses with wines, bread and water). I would rush back here in a heart beat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ate here for New Years Eve and had such a fabulous dinner. The staff was extremely friendly and so kind to us. For NYE they had a set menu and we were very excited to try the different items. We were not disappointed! We also enjoyed the wine pairings with each course and that just added to the experience!
