This monument has no work. The Struggle in Epirus was the epitome of Greek sympathy. Party monuments have no place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In the last days of October and early November 1940, the small village of Episkopi Kalpaki became known throughout Hellenism because it was the place where the units of the 8th Division interfered with the Italian invaders. About ten years earlier, on the occasion of a trial of soldiers at the Athens Court of Appeal, he had known about the martyrdom of the soldiers in the Discipline.
The military unit was founded in 1924. In general, the "unruly" were sent to those who had the courage to protest the wretchedness of the apparatus, those who had denounced abuses of officers at the expense of the State, those who had refused to strike strikers, those opposed to torture that made them qualified
at the expense of soldiers. Close to them, sailors were also sent, when the shipwreck "Aegean", "Marble", as it was called by those who "hosted" it for some misconduct, was now abolished. All these were (most of them) communists and they took the lead for Kalpaki.
