G	George Ziakos on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Η Μάχη του Λαχανά Την 16-17 Ιουνίου 1913 ο Βουλγαρικός Στρατός, χωρίς προηγούμενη κήρυξη πολέμου, επιτίθεται εναντίων των Σερβικών και Ελληνικών θέσεων και την 17η Ιουνίου βρίσκεται να κατέχει την γενική γραμμή χωριό Βερτίσκος - Πολύκαστρο. Παράλληλα σχεδιάζει για την 19η Ιουνίου γενική επίθεση για την κατάληψη της Θεσσαλονίκης. Την 21η Ιουνίου η κρίση της μάχης έφθασε στο κατακόρυφο με σειρά εφόδων δια της λόγχης. Ο Ελληνικός Στρατός, που προχωρεί με τους Διοικητές των Συνταγμάτων και όλους τους Αξιωματικούς στην πρώτη γραμμή, φτάνει σε απόσταση εφόδου και ορμά με την λόγχη. Η λόγχη νικά το πυρ και στις 16:00 το απόγευμα ο Λαχανάς πέφτει. Δύο χιλιάδες εννιακόσια (2900) Έλληνες σκοτώθηκαν στον Λαχανά. Από την Βουλγαρική πλευρά, πλήθος οι νεκροί, 2500 αιχμάλωτοι. Η ιστορική μάχη του ΛΑΧΑΝΑ είχε σαν αποτέλεσμα, την διάνοιξη της πύλης για την απελευθέρωση του υπόλοιπου Ελληνικού χώρου της ΜΑΚΕΔΟΝΙΑΣ και της ΘΡΑΚΗΣ. The Battle of Lachana On 16-17 June 1913 the Bulgarian Army, without prior declaration of war, attacked the Serbian and Greek positions and on 17 June found itself occupying the general line village of Vertiskos - Polykastro. At the same time, it is planning a general attack for the occupation of Thessaloniki on June 19th. On June 21, the crisis of the battle reached its peak with a series of spear attacks. The Greek Army, advancing with the Commanders of the Regiments and all the Officers in the front line, reaches a distance of attack and rushes with the spear. The spear defeats the fire and at 16:00 in the afternoon Lachanas falls. Two thousand nine hundred (2900) Greeks were killed in Lahanas. From the Bulgarian side, a large number of dead, 2500 prisoners. The historic battle of LACHANA resulted in the opening of the gate for the liberation of the rest of Greece from MACEDONIA and THRACE.

Νοιώθει κανείς απίστευτο δέος βλέποντας τις προτομές και διαβάζοντας τις ηλικίες των ανθρώπων που έχασαν τις ζωές τους για να έχουμε εμείς το αγαθό της ελευθερίας... They should take more care of such an amazing monument, as a whole, like the museum ... One feels incredible awe looking at the busts and reading the ages of the people who lost their lives so that we can have the good of freedom ...
Ι	Ιωάννης Νταλαμπύρας on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ψηλά,σε λοφίσκο της περιοχής του Λαχανά,λίγο μακριά από το Λαγκαδά Θεσσαλονίκης(περίπου 35 χλμ),στο δρόμο των Σερρών,υπάρχει το Ηρώον της ένδοξης μάχης Κιλκίς-Λαχανά.Πιο χαμηλά,εντός αυτού του τομέα,υπάρχει και ένας μουσειακός χώρος.Απο ψηλά όπου και το μνημείο,εκτείνεται η πεδιάδα όπου και έλαβε χώρα αυτή η περίφημη μάχη.Αξιζει...Ειναι η ιστορία μας! High up, on a hill in the area of Lahana, a little far from Lagada in Thessaloniki (about 35 km), on the road to Serres, there is the Hero of the glorious battle Kilkis-Lahana. Lower, within this area, there is a museum. From above, where the monument is, extends the plain where this famous battle took place. It is worth ... It is our story!
Ν	ΝΙΚΟΛΑΟΣ ΤΣΩΛΑΣ on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Άλλη μία γωνιά της Ελληνικής γης, ποτισμένη με το αίμα των αθανάτων Ελλήνων προγόνων υπερασπιστών της ένδοξης πατρίδας μας την οποία οι "αγαπητοί" γείτονές μας επιβουλεύονται και επιθυμούν να κατακτήσουν και να αφανίσουν τον Ελληνισμό.Ευτυχως όμως πάντα έστω και την ύστερη στιγμή το πνεύμα των Ελλήνων ξυπνάει από την λήθη και ζωντανεύει για να αποτρέπει τα σχέδια των φιλόδοξων εχθρών της πατρίδας μας. Στη μάχη του Λαχανά-Κιλκις οι ελληνικές δυνάμεις με σκληρωτατους αγώνες και απαράμιλλο ηρωισμό κατάφεραν να εκδιώξουν τα βουλγαρικά στρατεύματα τα οποία είχαν εισέλθει και βρισκόταν σε Ελληνικό έδαφος κατευθυνόμενα προς Θεσσαλονίκη με απώτερο σκοπό να καταλάβουν την πόλη. Οι απώλειες τεράστιες. Το τριήμερο 19/21-06-1913 έχασαν τη ζωή τους Οχτώ χιλιάδες οχτακοσιοι τριάντα Έλληνες (νεκροί και τραυματίες). Ήρωες!!!!! Ο σκοπός όμως επιτεύχθηκε. Οι εισβολείς θανατώθηκαν. Έξι χιλιάδες ενιακοσιοι νεκροί και έξι χιλιάδες αιχμάλωτοι. Αποτραπηκαν τα σχέδια για κατάληψη της Μακεδονίας και έξοδο στο Αιγαίο. Στο σημείο, ψηλά στον λόφο στην είσοδο του χωριού Λαχανάς στήθηκε περικαλλο μνημείο αντάξιο της θυσίας των Ελλήνων στρατιωτών το οποίο θα θυμίζει σε εμάς τους νεότερους ότι η πατρίδα μας δεν επιβιώνει τυχαία, απαιτεί θυσίες ακόμα και της ζωής μας. In the battle of Lahana-Kilkis, the Greek forces with fierce struggles and unparalleled heroism managed to drive out the Bulgarian troops that had entered and were in Greek territory heading towards Thessaloniki with the ultimate goal of occupying the city. The losses are huge. On the three days 19 / 21-06-1913, eight thousand eight hundred and thirty Greeks lost their lives (dead and wounded). Heroes !!!!! But the goal was achieved. The invaders were killed. Six thousand one hundred dead and six thousand prisoners. Plans to occupy Macedonia and leave for the Aegean were thwarted. At the point, high on the hill at the entrance of the village of Lahanas, a beautiful monument was erected worthy of the sacrifice of the Greek soldiers which will remind us young people that our homeland does not survive by chance, requires sacrifices even of our lives.
